Sorry this chapters a bit late xxx I'm soon to be moving house so I've been busy packing and I haven't had a lot of time to write. I hope you like it! xxChapter eight: The Drill
I sit myself on the sofa opposite mum and refrain from looking at dad. Let's Just get this over with.
"You know what happens when you get a boyfriend Sharl. Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you. Brady is your first boyfriend and he probably won't be the last."
I clench my jaw shut, I hope he will be. I'm not ever going to let him go, not after all the years I've spent chasing after him. He's too much of a importance in my life for me to just let go.
"So I'll start off, what are some of the rules that you think apply in having a relationship at your age?"
At my age. I huff, 16 is a mature age. We're not little kids anymore.
"Sharl?" He questions impatiently. I swear he's said this speech so many times, he doesn't need his cue cards anymore. I remember the first time Adam brought home his first girlfriend, dad got out these cue cards that he'd written and practised and gave him the most humiliating talk ever. It was so serious yet so funny.
"Okay, well, umm. . . "

I crawl into the warm blankets of my bed and sigh happily. Dads talk was awful. He went on about rules and distance and protection and all that stuff. I was kinda creeped out towards the end. I mean when your dad freaks you out about STIs, who wouldn't be? But no matter how bad that went it doesn't damper my day.
I smile sneaks onto my face as I bury my face into my pillow and let out a squeal of excitement. I have a boyfriend! But most importantly not just any boyfriend. I have Brady Daniels.
And I can finally call him mine.
I roll over onto my side and close my eyes, feeling the pull of sleep take over.
"And all you're little things."
I suddenly sit up to the strange ringtone of my phone. The brightness of the screen illuminating the dark room. I know for sure I didn't set that ringtone, I didn't think I even had any One Direction on my phone. I don't exactly hate them but I'm definitely not a big fan either. Brady must have changed it.
I unlock my phone and what do ya know, a text from Brady pops up on the screen,
Dream of me ;)
-Brady
A warmth fills my chest knowing he's thinking about me before he goes to sleep. And this is pretty big for him. He barely ever texts people, he only uses his phone for 'important stuff' he told me once.
I quickly send a reply, my fingers sliding over the screen effortlessly.
You wish ;)
-Sharl
Soon enough another text comes through from him.
Haha I will
-Brady
I laugh quietly and turn my phone off with a click. Words can't describe how happy I'm feeling. Then I realise what I said earlier, he only uses his phone for important stuff.
Meaning I'm important to him.
That thought alone is enough to carry me to sleep.
