Neither of you moved. Or said anything. Once you snapped back into reality you realized he was talking to you.

"Oh it's just a guard" he said laughing slightly.

Realizing you were still in the guards clothes you began nervously laughing as well.

"Yeah, I thought I heard something in here and came to check it out." You said deepening your voice once again.

Suddenly you heard the a small thump. You had completely forgot about the little girl floating above your head!

'She must have bumped her head!'

It looked like he was about to say something when you heard a loud shriek of a maid?

"Sorry but I have to go now!" I said as I closed the door.

"Wait don't go!" He said as he ran towards the door. But saw no one as he looked through the hallway.

As he was standing there he couldn't help but feel something familiar about the man. As he was standing in the door way he thought he felt something above him.

'Please don't look up. PLEASE don't look up. PLEASE DON'T LOOK UP!!!' I thought panicking to myself. Looking around my surroundings I found an unlit candle and decided to use that. Reaching over to it I quickly threw it to a corner.

'Take the bait, TAKE the bait, TAKE THE BAIT!!!' I was about to have a heart attack until he began walking towards it.

Silently floating down with the child you pushed her into the room but decided to watch the hero a bit. Finally deciding it was time to leave you began making your way towards the window.

That was, until the floor creeked. Quickly turning around you saw that the hero turned back around.

"Hey! Hey wait!" He said as he began running towards you but before he could walk through the door you slammed it closed like before and flew out the window with the child in your arms. Panting slightly you hid in a tree and watched as the man looked around for you until you saw him give up and go to the crime scene.

Once you took the diamond to your boss and collected your money you took the child home. As you looked at her you realized you had not asked for a name. Mentally slapping yourself you grabbed your first aid kit and began cleaning her wounds. Once you finished patching her up you decided to take her to your bedroom and let her sleep on your bed. It was a good thing you didn't have to work tomorrow. That way you could take proper care of her.

Deciding that it wouldn't be good to greet her in your bloody clothes you went into the bathroom and took a shower. As you got out you set an alarm and went to sleep.

The next morning you woke up to your alarm sounding. Remembering why you set it you began getting ready.

Walking into the kitchen you began making breakfast for you and the little girl. Not knowing what she liked you decided to just make some pancakes and cupcakes. Getting out the ingredients you began baking. As you were putting the cupcakes in the oven you decided to run to the store and quickly buy some fresh and clean clothes for the little girl. It was around eight in the morning so you knew you had to hurry.

As you finished making the cupcakes you decided to make the pancakes when you got home from the store so they would be fresh.

Grabbing your keys and wallet you started your car and drove away. Walking into the store you quickly ran to the kids section and began picking out some clothes for her. You saw a lot of women in that section as well. Many of which were giggling at you. Some were saying how cute of a father you were. While some, well, let's not talk about them. When you finished picking out her clothes you decided to buy her a toy. Walking into the toy section you began looking through them. As you were turning the corner someone had crashed into you making you drop all of the clothes you had picked.
