A Fight to the Death

"Where should we go to fight? We need it to be secluded. We can't have anyone seeing us."

"There's an old warehouse a couple of blocks from here. Last time I was there some villains had some kind of base there but Bunny and I took care of them. It should be abandoned."

"Alright, then lead the way."

As we were heading towards the warehouse I noticed that he was still wearing my hood.

Before I could ask for it back we had made it to the warehouse.

Just like he said, the warehouse wasn't too far. Thankfully it was night as well otherwise some civilians or heroes could have seen us.

The place was deserted. It didn't seem like anyone had been there for quite some time.

'Perhaps I could hide here in case anything happens?'

"Welp, ladies first." I said snickering as I gestured for him to go in first.

"I am not a lady! Why do I have to go in first anyway! You were the one who proposed a fight."

"Oh. My bad. I forgot you were afraid of the dark." I said smugly walking past him.

"And here I thought heroes were supposed to be brave."

Just as I was about to enter I was grabbed by the wrist and pulled back.

"I am brave!" He said as he walked in passing me quickly.

"Ha! Told you I was brave!" He said as he stood in the middle of the warehouse.

"Yeah and I also said ladies first." I said as I walked in front of him to get a better view of the place.

His mouth was wide open as I looked around the place. It wasn't as dirty as I expected. There was a wide space in the center and four stairways leading upstairs. Many box cars were littered around the place as well. There also seemed to be an office and what looks like a bathroom?

'This would definitely be a good place to hide in case there is trouble.'

When I turned back around to look at the hero he still seemed to be offended by what I told him earlier.

Walking up to him I gently pushed his jaw up to close his mouth.

"You should close your mouth, you wouldn't want a fly to go in there."

That seemed to have brought him back.

"I- you little- UGH!" He said as he grabbed me by the shoulders and began shaking me.

"Woah there! Easy tiger. We haven't stated the rules yet." I said prying his hands off me.

"Rules?"

"Of course, we gotta make this fair. Now, would you rather fight with powers or just normal hand to hand?"

"Hand to hand. That way we won't cause such a big mess and it will be fair for me since I can only use my powers for five minutes.

"Deal. But there's a catch. If I win, I don't have to go with you and you have to do something for me."

"Wait a minute! That wasn't in our agreement the first time!" He said waving his arms around.

"You said, "Fine, if you beat me I'll go with you but if you don't beat me. Then I get to leave" You didn't say anything about me doing something for you!"

"You didn't have to quote me"

'How did he even remember all of that?"

"Anyways, I guess I'll just go home then." I said as I began walking away.
