(M/N)'s POV
"Ugh, where am I?" I thought trying to move but realized I couldn't. Opening my eyes I noticed that the hero was still wrapped around me.'My back is killing me! But I don't want to wake him up. His powers should be recharged now. What if he turns me in to the police?'
"I'm sorry, but I can't let that happen." I whispered softly into his ear as I gently layed him onto ground. He moved slightly causing my hood to move off of him a little. Stepping closer I tucked him into my hood.
"What is going on with me? I shouldn't be treating him like this" I whispered softly as I walked away from him.
Shaking my head to clear my thoughts I flicked my finger to light a small flame. Searching through the room I noticed that there was a kind of hole going through the corner of the room. Looking closer there was another kind of metal going through. Placing my finger on it I could feel water coursing through them to some unknown destination.
'These pipes may be my way out!'
Focusing my energy into my fingertips I began to concentrate on bursting the pipes to get the water out. Once they burst I quickly gathered up the water and turned around to make sure the hero was still asleep.
Directing the water into the small cracks I began to push the metal apart. It would take a while but it was working. I could feel sweat sliding down my forehead as the metal was slowly coming apart. The straining in my arms was telling me to stop but I had to get out of there before it was too late. I couldn't quit now.
Pushing my self harder I began to feel something running down my nose. The pulsing in my head was driving me crazy but I was so close. The longer I continued, the louder the pounding in my head got. By now, blood was oozing quickly from both of my nostrils. My vision was going blurry and I was fighting to continue pulling the metal apart. Just as I was about to faint the metal was completely pulled back and I could see some dirt.
I collapsed onto my knees and grabbed my head. The pain was too much. I couldn't take it. But I knew I had to continue. It would have been easier if there was no kind of force field.
Sitting into a criss cross formation. I took a sip from my water and began cleaning my nose. Once the blood was gone, I closed my eyes hoping to get some rest before I tried again.
About ten minutes passed when I decided to get up and continue. But I got interrupted by a sudden groan coming from behind me.
"(Villain name)..."
Quickly running over to him I picked him back up in my arms and began rocking him back and forth. His eyes slowly opened and looked at me. Neither of us said anything, we only looked at each other.
"Thank you... (villain name)..."
Suddenly he cuddled closer to me and slowly and steadily his eyes began to close again. I was surprised. I didn't think that he would thank me. What exactly was he thanking me for? I haven't done anything really. It's probably nothing. He's probably too tired to realize what he is saying. It had to an accident. That's all it was.
'Just an accident.'
Sighing quietly, I slowly moved my hand towards his face.
'He's so much different than any other hero I've encountered.'
Moving closer to his face, I brushed a loose strand of hair behind his ear.
'He looks so calm.'
Smiling, I began caressing his cheek lightly to not wake him up. I could feel my smile grow wider as he leaned toward my hand.
Taking my hand away I couldn't help but think about my time with him. In our short time together we didn't try to rip each others throats out and instead talked to each other. As if we had known one another for years. I actually enjoyed it too.
