Heather McNamara was stuck in detention. Stuck in dentention with mister Jason Dean. It was so awkwardly silent in there, you could hear a pen just pLoP.
The teacher had went out of the class to do something, it doesn't really matter who they were and what they were doing they're irrelevent to this plot. There were no other students in there either, making it almost look empty, especially with JD just sitting in a seat in a dark corner. Heather laid her head down on the desk and let out a sigh. She glanced over at JD as he stared out the window in boredom. Heather could see how Veronica fell for him so quick. She had to admit, he was a very good looking guy, cuter than her boyfriend even. His trenchcoat and his slightly messy hair made his look mysterious and all the more better. Heather broke out of her mini trance and noticed JD staring back at her with a confused and rather annoyed look. She blushed and turned away quickly. She heard him get up from his seat and walk torwards her, his steps getting closer and he sat in the seat behind her.
"Hey, macaroni, truth or dare?" He said in a bored tone, tugging on one of Heather's blonde curls. Heather snorted, "What?" She turned in her seat to face him. JD shrugged, "Truth or dare?" He asked again. Heather rolled her eyes, "What are you, ten?" Heather snickered. JD huffed, "Come on I'm bored, just pick, truth or dare?" Heather let out an exasperated sigh, "Truth." She rested her cheek against her han with a very unamused expression. JD then smirked,
"Do you want to kiss me?" He simply asked. Heather felt her cheeks heat up and she changed her answer, "....Dare.."
JD leaned in close to her, " I dare you to kiss me." He grinned. Heather felt her entire face grow hot. Heather didn't know what to do so she tried to maybe think of something to say.
"Ne-Never have I ever-"
"That's not the game!" JD sighed and sunk back in his chair. The teacher came back and Heather and JD didn't say a word to each other the rest of the afternoon.
Detention was over, after what felt like a year and the two left, walking down the hall together silently, awkward tension between them as they did. "Sorry about that stupid game." JD said avoiding looking at Heather. "Oh, its fine, I guess.." She muttered in reply.
More silence.
"Um, sorry about your friend? Heather Bitch-ler, whatever she was." JD spoke again. Heather couldn't help but snicker at the remark, "It's fine. Yeah she wss bitch, probably still is, and people have probably been waiting for this to happen for a long time anyways." Heather said.
It had been a few weeks since Heather Chandler's 'suicide'.
"I just didn't think her death would be suicide. I thought she would get hit by a bus or get shot or something." She said. JD chuckled, "Yeah.. Maybe next time.." He muttered the last words veeerrrryy softly.
"Hey, can I do something I'll probably regret?" Heather asked and stopped walking. JD shrugged, "Sure, but talking to me should be regretful enough." Heather then placed a soft lil kiss on his cheek.
"The-The dare. You said to kiss you, but you really didn't say where soo. There." She stuttered, embarassed and red in the face. JD didn't really know what to say so he stayed quiet but the pink tint in his cheeks were noticeable.
"I'll um, see you later, I guess." Heather said and walked on ahead of him, feeling pretty proud of herself.
