A few days later. We found a yellow Jeep that was bigger and we could all fit.
We were riding in the desert at night listening to a mix tape. But it was turned down by Vasquez.
"We need to get off the road."
"I don't like being so far in Zero's territory." Warren said. "But I guess we really don't have a choice."
Vasquez tuned the music back up. But a few minutes later it started it glitch.
"Wait a minute." Murphy said and Warren slowed down the car.
I looked out the window to see a chopped up zombie on the ground.
"What is that?" Murphy asked.
10k shines his flash light on the zombie.
"That's a new one." Addy gasped.
"Well I want whatever did that." 10k chuckled.
"Like a samurai surgeon." Doc said.
"Some things you just can't unsee." I added.
10k raised his hand gun and I covered my ears while he shot the Z.
"4,234." 10k said. "And a third."
I smiled at that last part.
"Take the whole kill. You deserve it, kid." Doc chuckled.
"Thirty five." 10k smiled.
"You know they use to find mutilated cattle out here, pre-z." 10k said.
"Mutilated cattle?" I asked.
"Like x-files mutilated cattle?" Warren asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, my uncle knew all about it. Aliens did it." 10k added.
"Have you been smoking my Z weed?" Doc asked.
"No."
"Maybe you better start." Doc chuckled.
"You believe in UFO's?" Murphy asked.
"Sure." 10k shrugged.
"That's ridiculous. Aliens don't exist." Murphy scoffed."If they were smart enough to get here, they wouldn't put up with the dumb-ass human race for a minute. It's pure science fiction."
"That's what people said about zombies." 10k had a point.
"Well, I mean maybe there's zombies but there sure as hell ain't no aliens."
Suddenly the car shut off and stopped leaving us in the darkness.
Warren tried to start it again. "Come on, baby. Don't fail me now."
