At lunch, Bon Bon sat alone and quietly, keeping his thoughts to himself. All this time he had loved her, and only for what? To get rejected? A tear slid down his cheek. Bella came up behind him and tickled him as a surprise. But he didn't respond with laughter, but tears and hurt. Bella, shocked to see her friend so unhappy, asked him what's wrong. "Nothing, I just........I want to eat alone today." He said through tears. Bella wasn't buying it, she licked all the tears away, and sat by him. "Please tell me, I won't go away until you do." She said, Bon Bon looked at her, and he sighed. "It's what you said earlier, about how you only liked me as a friend..........." He said, his voice still thick from crying. "What do you mean??" Bella said, she didn't really remember what she said that morning. "I told you I liked you, like more than friends. But you told me you liked me as a best friend."
Bella then remembered, and she smiled. "Oh, Bon. I was really tired, you know how I don't think things through when I'm tired." She said with sparkly eyes. Bon Bon smiled too. "So does that mean......" He was too happy to finish. "Yes, I like you too. More than friends." Bella winked. Bon Bon was really happy, but he was still heart broken. Bella sensed it, and she came up with an idea. "Hey, let's have a little date tonight, ok? Just me and you." She said, Bon Bon couldn't believe his ears. "Oh yes! Thank you!" He hugged her and he ran off. He was so happy.
