Virgil P.O.V.

My head hurts. My chest hurts. My arms and my legs hurt. Everything hurts. I have a hard time trying to sit in my bed. I'm sore. What time is it? I try to look at my phone, but the screen is too bright. It doesn't help my headache. I notice the glass of water on my night stand. What happened? I remember screaming at Morality, and shaking and... Oh... I don't remember much, but it's enough for me to realize what happened. My door knob suddenly turns. Someone's coming in.

"Oh! Sorry... I didn't know you were awake. I'll go get-" says Roman as he enters my room. The bright light from the hallway blinds me for a couple of seconds.

"Wait..." I say drowsy. "I think... we need to talk... but can you close the door first? The light isn't helping my headache."

"Oh yeah... sorry." He closes the door and sits on my desk chair. I can feel he is uncomfortable, but so am I.

"Look Virgil, I'm-"

"No, no no. It's okay. It's all my fault. I tried to take the letters back, but-"

"You tried to take them back?" he asks confused.

"Yes, I did."

"But why?"

"Well, I knew you would've never liked me the I do and I didn't want to ruin everything but, you can see that I failed..."

"I actually have something to confess to you, Virgil. I made a mistake. I'm not happy with the way things ended up. I never wanted to hurt you! When I realized you were the one who sent me those letters, I mean, I was... flabbergasted! With just a few lines of text, you were able to make me feel special, unique, precious in every way possible!"

"You already told me this..."

"I know... but let me finish. When you ran away, I started to realize what a terrible mistake I just made! The reason why I... rejected you... was because I wasn't remotely close able to make you feel the way you made me. I was afraid I would disappoint you. All I could think about was the way you would feel if I was with you. I completely ignored my own feelings. I even ignored yours! All that because I knew I wasn't good enough for you... I'm sorry you had to go through all of this because I wasn't able to recognize what you actually meant to me. I- I like you, as well, Virgil..."

Did I hit my head or something? I don't know how to reply to that?! Is he playing with me? Is that what it is? Or is he sincere? Patton did tell me he realized his mistake, but I didn't think it would mean he changed his mind!

"I-I'm sorry... What did... you just say?"

"I like you, Virgil. For real."

I just stare at him for a couple of seconds.

"Are-are you okay?" he asks.

"Yeah! I'm... I'm okay." I reply with a little smirk.
