"Can I come in?" Mia shouts from the other side of the door.
I reply with silence.
She walks in anyways.
"I brought you food...... Chinese food your favorite" I feel her sit on the edge of my bed.

I turn over laying on my back.
" you've been laying down for hours" She runs her hands through her hair.

It's still silence, I don't feel like talking.
"Just eat at least" she hands me the food again.
I shrug as I grab the food out of her hand. I start taking small bites. I realized I'm hungrier than I thought.

"Tomorrow I'm working at the cafe you can come down there if you want, you can drink tea and eat yummy pastries" Mia says, she looks really tired.

10:03 am Tuesday morning<<<<<
I wake up with my phone on the side of me. Mia must of charged it for me because it's on 100 percent. So many notifications on Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. I ignore them.

7 missed calls from joey:\
16 missed calls from Charles.
Joey: Madison, answer the phone.

Charles: Madison, we need to talk......

Lexi: when you wake come to my house right away we need to talk....

I get out of bed quickly washing up in the shower and putting on black leggings and a warm sweater. I brush my teeth and hair. And put on my black converse.

I grab my keys leaving my phone, I don't want nothing to do with it at the moment.

I walk out the door. Shit it's raining...
I Sprint to Lexi house and knock. Her mom opens the door. I always wanted a mom like lexi's she's sweet, supportive, and she's there for you when you need her.

"She's upstairs honey, waiting for you" she smiled letting me in. I walk up stairs before she stops me by saying "Oh dear, I'm so sorry".
" for what miss? " I ask.
"For everything honey". She gives me a weak smile.
I walk upstairs that was awkward.
I knocked on her door I'm so excited to see her.
" come in" she sounds different.
I walk in...She looks different, weak, pale.
"...hi Alexis...you look differ-"
"Sit down, catch me up on things, I heard about the fight I'm surprised and very disappointed, I didn't think our friendship with Karla would ever come to this. Karla have been acting different towards me too when it comes to little things like leaving me on read and ignoring me." She sigh . She has on a hat inside that's weird she hates hats.

"Well let me explain, I met Joey when he first moved here he was so nice and good looking at first but he starting acting different, it turned out to be me going on a so called "date" with him to having sex with him that same day, I mean I thought he was gonna ask me out after we had sex but he didn't, meanwhile when we were having sex he was flirting with other girls and dating Karla, plus he asked me to be friends with benefits the weirdest way ever he literally was like "let's be friends with benefits", of course I agreed stupid me but we weren't really friends we are more like fremies or i don't know, I started dating his friend Charles because he makes me happy, Does that make me a hoe? Charles doesn't know about the friends with benefits thing now I'm just so disappointed" I explain more and more about what happened about the fight and misunderstanding and how I barely see my mom. I don't even know her anymore.

Lexi just sits there and listens. That's what I love about her she just listens.

" well.... It's not your fault, but I need to tell you something that would probably break your heart, I'm so sorry for lying to you all these weeks, I just want you to be happy Madison. "

She starts crying, first time I ever seen her cry.

"What's wrong Alexis tell me, Explain it or something"

She takes a deep breath and starts explaining.

"For the past few months I've been talking to Charles , I can tell he liked me but I always shut him out because he deserves someone better,we always seen each other at school we have every period together except for homeroom one day he asked for my number and that's when we started talking more he's really sweet.... we are more like bestfriends now" she says.

"That's all you have to say it's okay I guess -"

" I'm really sick" she cuts me off.
'I know with the flu but you can get better you always do " I grab her hand their so cold.

"No Madison no, I have cancer" she starts sobbing .
"No no no no, .........You don't have cancer you just have the flu" I say hoping it's true.

"No Madison, I have cancer and it's really bad, when I first got it they said I only had 1 week to live but I'm still alive i can die in any second, If I die or stay alive either way it's okay."

" Alexis i-''
"Shhhh" she hugs me and we sit there sobbing.

I don't know what to do or say I'm shocked and...and I don't know.
