Madison: yea can't sleep
Joey: Same
Madison: you should sleep
Joey: i know you should too
Madison: you have school tomorrow- today I have online school so I can get up whenever
Joey: I'm not going tomorrow
Madison: why?
Joey: I'm sick
Madison: what kind?
Joey: cold
Madison: that's tuff
Joey : I'm surprised you aren't partying rn
Madison: I'm tired
Joey: I would of been tired along time ago how much you party
Madison: ha ha funny!!
Joey: so what's New York City like? Other than partying
Madison: it's pretty litt and it's easy making friends or at least where I live it is.
Joey: dope
Madison : alright I'm going to bed

- Madison
I wake up and sigh as I get out of bed and slip on my Nike shorts. I look out my window and it look really cold.

I pull out the ingredients to make cereal. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and it's Ryan shirtless.

My moms " friend " .

" good morning " he said looking in the fridge.

" where's my mom?" I ask ignoring his friendly greeting.

" upstairs in bed"  he grabs him a bottle of beer from out of the refrigerator.

In the morning. gross.

" who exactly are you ?" I ask.

He downs the bottle of beer then he lets out a loud burp before he says,

" I'm Ryan "

" I know but like who are you to my mom? Where did you meet her? Why are you always here?" I ask.

He smirks from the side of his mouth and chuckles .

" your mom is my women and I met her at work ." He answers the first two questions with no hesitation.

" women?" I question.

He nods and grab another beer. He walks back up the stairs.

Mom walks down and smiles.

" how'd you sleep?" She asks.

" Alright "

" can you get dressed so we could go run some errands " she said .

" why can't you go run errands with your man "

She gives me that mom look which means she's not playing around.
I stomp upstairs and put my hoodie on. I brush my teeth and wash it. I add some deodorant to my armpits and slip on my vans.

When I walk back downstairs she's drinking coffee.

" let's go " She says when she noticed me walking down the stairs.

I follow her to the car and get in.

" you can connect your phone to the aux " she says starting the car.

" I'm fine" I put in my earphones and roll my eyes.

She snatches them out .

" what the hell!" I shout.

" what's your deal , young lady?!" She shoots back.

" what's your deal?!!! your the one who got a boyfriend in less than a month since we moved here!"

" Don't even come at me with this boyfriend stuff"

" you said if we moved here it will be different! You told me that our life would be much better !! But you just came here to find a boyfriend or what?!" And now I'm shouting at my mom and she's not shocked at all.

" I been talking to him before we moved here"

" so I'm right?! we moved here because you wanted some sort of rich sugar daddy to pay our bills and rent? you didn't really have a job out here?! You found one out here just so you could have a reason why we moved here?"

" Madison, get out of my car , right now! Before I get back home you should be in your room and your phone should be on the kitchen table waiting for me! Dinner will be brought up to you!" She yells .

So I slam the door as hard as I can. I run upstairs to my room and slam my door.
