Meet Poppy

Meet Poppy. Rarely is she at home, and when she is, it's to get her things.

Poppy has a shift at 10AM, and she dips at 10PM. Sleeping on her breaks, studying while on the bus, Poppy does all she can, while she can.

She works as a delivery and a construction worker, hauling heavy items or doing dirty work. And by dirty work, I mean literally. She's tough for being half the size of a human.

For her education, she's finishing up her last year of high school. Really all she needs is to graduate, as Poppy already did all the work she had to.

Poppy doesn't hate her life, but she feels unfulfilled. She wants to be a police officer, or a fire fighter. Something to benefit others while earning money for Janna and LuLu, her closest thing to family.

It was around 11PM. Lux would usually go to sleep around then, but she decided to do more practice with her magic. Mainly because she was bored, but also because it was exciting. The way she could reshape and bend light, her possibilities were endless.

She only did small things, like slightly tilt the lighting in her room, or make butterflies out of light. It was a fascinating time, but it was interrupted when she heard the door unlock. Janna was home, so Lux decided to check it out.

And there she was. A yorlde girl walked in, taking off her heavy work boots and putting them on the rack. Out came Janna also.

"Welcome back, Poppy. That girl over there is Lux." Lux turned over to Janna after being mentioned.

Poppy faced Lux, "Well, it's nice to meet you." She walked over to shake hands with Lux.

"Lux will be here as my mage apprentice"

"Magic stuff, I see"

"Well, hello there! I'm Lux."

"Well, nice to meet you. Again."

Janna cleared her voice, "I don't mean to intrude, but how long will you be staying this time?"

Lux didn't know who Janna was talking to, so she gave a blank look towards her. Luckily, Poppy spoke up.

"I have a 2 week vacation from work."

"Perfect. It would be nice to all be together."

It was only a matter of time before LuLu woke up.

"Ah, Poppy" she sounded drowsy, most likely from waking up, but she came over for a hug. She was in the 6th grade, but she was still very youthful.

They didn't mind though. It was refreshing. So with all four united, they decided to sit down in the living room. They talked. Lots of things, ranging from many topics. From beauty tips, food, life-goals, they grew closer.
