it's been a couple weeks since we were first paired together.

end of the day, end of rehearsal as the teacher claps her hands.

"beautiful, you two. i knew putting you together would produce a wonderful performance."

we took our turns saying thank you, before packing up. i was carefully sliding my sheet music into a folder when he taps my shoulder.

his mid tone voice was soft and slightly hoarse from constant singing.

"wanna go get some coffee with me?"

i swear my heart has never felt like this. it was pounding so fast it was like someone was rapidly punching my chest from the inside.

i blinked away the surprise and somehow managed to choke out a yes.

i don't know how to describe how i happy i was.
