"jae, i think i have a crush on someone."

"really? who?"

"someone. but honestly i'm not even sure."

"why is that?"

"i don't know. i just don't think i've experienced a real crush before, only short and meaningless infatuations."

he looks up at me from his binder. his head tilts slightly. "then what makes you think this is different?"
