i couldn't contain myself when we got backstage. i impulsively wrapped my arms around him, "we did it!"

he chuckled as he returned my hug. "we sure did."

we separated the hug as he grinned at me. "wanna go get dinner with me? think of it as a celebratory dinner."

of course i accepted, except i accepted with a pounding heart and a butterfly filled stomach.

we went and got burgers, because honestly, that was the only thing left open at 9:30 pm. people looked at us strangely, but that was expected. we were two people dressed formally coming to a burger place at night.

we talked and laughed and talked some more, all the while enjoying our food. "you wanna meet my friends? some of them are accusing me of spending more time with you than them," he laughs.

i laugh softly as i say, "of course."
