"So, you like One Direction?" Asks Ashton.
We are now all sat in the dining area so we can get to know each other to get over the awkward moment earlier. Only problem is, it's even more awkward than before. I am sat on the right side of the table, next to Calum (on my right), next to him, at the head of the table is Michael, then across from Calum is Ashton and next to him (across from me) is none other than Luke, whose eyes I am trying to avoid.
"Yeah, I do," I said keeping my voice as stable as possible.
"Been to any of their concerts?" Asks Michael.
"Yeah, a couple, actually," I say, feeling that nervous lump in my throat.
"Which ones?" Asks Ashton, with a bit of a smirk.
"Er, uh....um, the Take me Home tour in Liverpool and the Where w-we A-Are Tour in the Etihad, M-Manchester," I stuttered, feeling all of their eyes burning into me, especially Luke's.
"Did you have a good time?" Says Calum, smiling at me, as if he is genuinely curious.
"Yeah, I did thanks," okay nice job, voice stayed steady.
"Listen, we don't want this to be awkward between us all, yes, you may have had a moment of slight embarrassment back there," says Michael, slight? Is he frickin' kidding me? Is he talking about the same moment I'm thinking of? "But, we thought it was quite cute and we are glad you were trying to get comfortable, we just want you to know, that all we want to be is friends, not your employers or anything formal, just friends," he smiles, okay I can live with that.
I nod, smiling, "We know you probably want to get settled in a bit more in your room and stuff, but, if you feel like it you can come and watch a film with us," offers Ashton.
"What film?"
"The Conjuring," smiles Calum. Yeahhhh. No.
"That's okay, I'm not a big horror fan, but, thanks for the offer," I smile as we all stand up, me still not looking at Luke.
I tell them goodnight, before grabbing the booklet and heading upstairs where I brush my teeth and wash my face with my Simple face wash and get changed into my Minnie Mouse top and shorts with the same socks on. I climb onto the bed and grab the booklet to have a little look through. When I reach to grab my phone, I notice a remote, so, I picked it up and pressed the red button at the top, with the weird 'on' symbol. Hearing a slight buzzing noise that you usually here when you out a DVD on I look towards the end of the bed where a TV is popping out.
Woah. Now that is cool. I soon find the SKY remote and press channel 112 for FRIENDS and settle my self against the pillows looking over the booklet that tells me about the maid, Katherine, who comes in on Mondays and Fridays from 9 in the morning til' 4 in the afternoon. It also tells me, about the different drivers and security. One is Peter (who drove me here) he works weekends, another is John, who works weekdays and the other is Ben who works formal events or fills in when one of the others can't work.
Before I know it, it's ten o'clock and I hear the boys heading up the stairs and a few of them mumbling to each other, soon enough all that is left is silence. Realising, I should probably get to bed, I put everything away, place my phone and iPad on charge, and head downstairs to get a glass of water to keep on my bedside for during the night.
Once down there, I try to be as quiet as possible, but, I can't find the glasses, and they have a very large kitchen with a lot of cupboards. The ceiling is also really high, so the second shelf of the cupboard is quite hard to reach, even for me and I am 5ft 7. I stretch up as far as I can my fingers literally brushing the glass and when I almost have it, "Need any help with that?"
I am quite a jumpy person and whoever said that was really close to my ear causing me to jump quite a bit and then stumble, because, I was still on my tippy toes. Since the only light was coming from the hall, it was dark, so, I couldn't see who it was, but, I knew that they had tried to catch me because I felt their hands grab my waist. Unfortunately, I was too far gone and so, we both went hurtling to the floor, me on the bottom, causing me to yelp in pain.
"Sorry," the person muttered, who seemed to have banged their arm in the side on the way down, because, I heard a smack and now their arm was being cradled to their chest, bare chest I may add, "I didn't mean to do that at all."
"It's okay. Erm, can you get off of me please?" I squeaked, nervous, because one of the boys - obviously - was on top of me!
"What? Oh yeah, sure, sorry," he said quickly, before hoisting himself up and offering me a hand.
"Thanks," I said, before walking over to the kitchen light. I also heard him move and the clank of glasses, so, I knew he had grabbed the glass for me.
Once I had turned the light on, I also moved towards the cupboard next to it to get some cereal, because, I realised that I had only had a little bit of tea after my embarrassing moment earlier. All the things I needed were on the opposite side of the kitchen to the sink, where - whichever boy it was - was currently putting water into the glass.
Once I was done, I turned round in the midst of saying, "Thank you..." But I trailed off when I saw a pair of blue eyes staring right back at me.
Aw, crap.
