***Anyone going to Monumentour?!***
"ATTENTION: WE ARE IN OHIO!" Pete exclaims, right near my head, through a megaphone. My eyes open instantly and I almost fall out of my bunk, startled. Patrick grabs me and stares at Pete. Pete laughs.
"Dude, it's like, six in the morning!" Patrick exclaims, looking at his phone. I put our blanket over my head. Why Pete?
"Did you even go to sleep last night?!"
"Yeah, for like, two hours," Pete laughs. I sigh. It seemed like all this man did was everything but sleep.
I look across the tiny, tiny hallway at the bunk directly across from Patrick and I. Joe and Alyssa left the curtain open to their bunk. Joe had one arm around Alyssa, and surprisingly enough, they slept through Pete's announcement. Sometimes I wonder why I was crazy enough to hop into a relationship so fast; I wonder if Alyssa felt the same.
I hop out of the bunk, Patrick behind me. I look out the windows towards the front of the bus. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, and we were sitting in front of a venue. The guys had a show tomorrow, so why were here now? Beats me.
"ANDY HURLEY," Pete says, walking over to his bunk, which was above the bunk Patrick and I shared. He accidentally hits his head on the ceiling, shocked from Pete's megaphone.
"DUDE!" Andy exclaims, confused. Pete laughs and walks over to Joe and Alyssa's bunk.
"WE'RE UP!" Alyssa exclaims, before Pete does anything. Patrick and I laugh as we sit on the little couch towards the front of the bus.
"So what are we doing today?" I ask Patrick.
"I don't know, we told Pete he could figure that out." I look at him, eyes widened. Great. We'd be doing something like walking into a cage of tigers or skydiving. I'll admit I was nervous to hear what Pete planned for today.
When everyone walks out to the living room half awake, Pete looks at all of us.
"Dude, what the hell is going on?" Joe asks, half asleep, arm around Alyssa.
"We're going to Cedar Point today," Pete says, happily. I look at him, jaw dropped. One of the most thrilling amusement parks in the USA, from what I've heard.
"No f**king way!" Alyssa exclaims, excitedly. The part of the bus we were all in lights up with smiles.
Luckily, I was able to manage to get a bag of clothes packed for this trip before my parents even woke up the other night. Thank goodness, too, because it would've been a nightmare if I didn't. We stopped by Alyssa's place, too, so she was all set.
After about two hours ,everyone is set to go. We're lucky it only took two hours, because good forbid Pete's hair needed to be perfect.
We get to Cedar Point and we immediately wanted to hit up the rollercoasters. After going on a few minor rollercoasters, Pete drags us over to a rollercoaster called Top Thrill Dragster. I look at it, almost completely terrified. The ride operator informs us that this was in the top five highest rollercoasters in the world, but I was too distracted by the fact that I'd be about four hundred twenty feet up in the air in just under four seconds, and almost going down one drop head first. I didn't mind rollercoasters, I thought they were fun, but this might just be a little too intense.
"It's time to step our game up," Pete says, looking at the rollercoaster with determination. I look at Patrick, and I gulp.
"You don't have to go," he says, laughing. "To be honest, it looks way too intense."
"Hell yeah she's coming," Joe says. "If Pete's dragging us on it, you guys aren't gonna stay here." I gulp again. I felt dizzy. Joe grabs my arm as we go in line, Patrick following behind me. I was so hesitant to go on this thing.
The line moved somewhat fast considering the ride was over in seventeen seconds. I was holding onto Patrick's hand with all my might, completely scared to death. The next car pulls up, which was for us and a few other people. Pete and Andy sit in the second row, and I was confused as to why they didn't sit in the first two seats.
"Well," Pete says, pointing to the two front seats. "Get in!"
"What?!" I exclaim, stepping back, scared.
"April! April! April!" Pete and Andy start a chant. Alyssa and Joe sit behind Pete and Andy, and the rest of the people continue to chant, as the rest of the car fills up. I look at everyone in line. The line was massive, and they were chanting, excitedly. I look at Patrick. He shrugs and gets in. I look at the one seat left in the car.
"You got this, April!" Alyssa yells. I figured this was a once in a lifetime chance. I get in the car and sit down.
