*I'm gonna switch it up a little and make POV's in this chapter. They're kinda needed anyways haha*
Patrick's POV
I wake up the next morning at about ten in the morning. I flip over. April wasn't here, which was odd. I almost thought I'd be up before her. I had a feeling she was getting sick or something. She wasn't acting herself last night, but I didn't notice until after the show. She was probably up eating breakfast.
I hop out of my bunk and see Alyssa and Joe eating breakfast. Pete and Andy nowhere to be found.
"Where's April?" I ask, confused. I see Alyssa just sit there, awkwardly. Joe was on his phone, like he didn't hear me.
"Joe!"
He looks up from his phone. "Hey."
"Where is April?" I ask, looking right at him.
"I don't know. She's not with you?"
"Dude, I woke up, and she wasn't next to me. Where could she be? We're in the middle of nowhere!" Alyssa just sits there, fidgety. I felt like she knew something I didn't.
"Oh how the mighty fall in love," Joe mumbles, looking back at his phone. I look at him, confused.
"What the hell does that mean?" Joe just shrugs, and I see Pete walk to where we were all talking, and he notices I'm here, and tries to get out of it. Him and Alyssa knew something. He walks back towards the bunk.
"Pete!" I exclaim. He stops walking but doesn't turn around.
"Where did she go?!" He slowly turns around.
"Dude, sit down," Pete says, upsetly, pointing to the table/booth. I sit down across from him and he sighs. Alyssa walks over.
*an hour later*
"Dude, c'mon, we were heading back to Chicago."
"SHUT UP!" I scream at Pete. I can't believe he did this. He literally just let her go home. Kicked her out, really.
"Dude, she was leading you-"
"NO SHE WASN'T!" I scream at him. "She was the best thing to ever happen to me, man, and you just let her LEAVE!" I turn back around, trying to help the bus driver remember the airport at which Pete just LEFT April at. He doesn't even remember.
"I highly doubt this would help," Alyssa says. "She's probably home by now."
"Okay, Alyssa, here's what you need to do," I turn around, looking right at her. She nods her head, ready to help.
"BE A BETTER FRIEND AND DON'T LET PETE HERE JUST DROP YOUR FRIEND OFF AT SOME RANDOM AIRPORT! FOR ALL I KNOW SHE COULD'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED BY SOMEONE!"
"PATRICK I DIDN'T KNOW!" Alyssa screams at me. "I WAS ASLEEP, OKAY?!" I turn back around and put my face in my hands. Why. Why me?
"Who was awake when she left besides Pete? Someone had to be."
I turn around. Everyone stared at me. I get out of my seat, standing in front of everyone, helpless. "GUYS!"
"OKAY, I LET HER LEAVE!" Andy says, jumping out from his bunk. "AND I'M SORRY! I didn't know what to do! She was in tears!"
"PATRICK!" Pete yells, grabbing both of my arms, "SHE WANTED TO GO!"
"W-what?" I ask, shocked.
"She wanted to go. I heard it. She wanted to, basically. The way she was acting the other night, she wasn't sick. She questioned the relationship between you two. She felt like it was going too fast."
"Oh, so you didn't let her talk to me about it? You didn't wake me up or anything, you just said 'Leave, Patrick won't CARE!'?!"
"DUDE! It would've been just as bad as breaking up with her in person." I stare at him like he was stupid. He definitely was having one of his stupid moments.
"REALLY?! You think just letting my GIRLFRIEND who I LOVE just leave without me even saying GOODBYE is OKAY?!" I scream at him. He just looks at me. I sit back down in the front seat next to the bus driver. I think Pete is finally starting to realize he messed up.
I had to get back to April. I had to find her. I need to know she's okay, at the very least.
