*Hey guys! I finished all my exams so I'll have more time to update now! And if you guys didn't know, this rollercoaster is actually a real rollercoaster. If you google it, you can see the size of it. There's also POV's on YouTube of how insane it really is. Okay I'll stop being stupid and write.*
The ride operator puts our seat restraints on and I find myself starting to hyperventilate. I look behind me. Pete and Andy were so giddy; Joe and Alyssa seemed a little nervous but excited. I look at Patrick. He seemed content.
"Aren't you scared of this freaking thing?!" I exclaim, looking back and forth between him and the rollercoaster.
"I'm just as nervous as you are!" he exclaims.
The car pulls up to the fake traffic light. The ride operator tells us that once the traffic light turns green, which could be at any given moment, the ride would go. I gulp. Above the fake traffic light there was a sign that read "KEEP ARMS DOWN, HEAD BACK, AND HOLD ON!" Lovely.
I grip onto my seat restraint to the point where my hands started sweating. I watch as the traffic light ticks down fast and turns green, and we take off. I scream at the top of my lungs like everyone else. I couldn't even feel my face we were going so fast. It felt like you were glued to the back of the seat.
We get to the top of the hill and we stall.
We stall.
"NO NO NO!" I scream, terrified. We were over four hundred feet in the air and we were about to rollback, or go backwards down the hill we just climbed at over one hundred miles per hour.
"ROLLBACK HELL YEAH!" Andy screams. We all scream as we go backwards down the ride and land back in the station. I lean back against my chair, hyperventilating.
"You guys wanna go again?!" the ride operator says.
"NO!" I scream at the top of my lungs, terrified.
"YES SHE DOES, YOU SIT YOUR ASS DOWN APRIL!" Pete says, as I try to get out of the car. I look at Patrick and everyone else.
"You can do it!" Patrick says. "It was fun!"
I just look at him, shocked. He gave me more confidence than Pete, though. I take a deep breath and sit back down. We go back to the starting point near the fake traffic light, feet away from the station. Maybe Patrick was right. This was a once in a lifetime chance, and I had to take the opportunity.
The traffic light ticks down again and turns green. We go from zero to one hundred two miles per hour in four seconds, climbing up the hill. The view from up here was amazing; it was like you could see every little bit of Ohio. We drop down at almost a ninety degree angle, with a little twist to make it not so steep. We get back to the station in a heartbeat and I smile.
"So?" Andy asks me, as I fix my hair.
"We gotta go again," I tell him. Everyone laughs and I give Patrick a kiss.
"If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have done it," I tell him, laughing.
He smiles. "Anytime. I was just mad I couldn't wear my fedora." I see his fedora get chucked at him from behind, and see Joe and Alyssa laughing. Patrick puts his fedora back on and rolls his eyes, laughing.
"Let's go pick up our pictures, guys," Pete says, heading towards a little cabana/shack that sat right next to the ride. A picture of us was taken on the drop apparently, and I didn't even want to see how horrendous I looked.
An employee hands Pete a stack of six photos, one for each of us, in a special cardboard frame that had the rollercoaster's title on it. I look at this photo, accurately. Everyone was enjoying the ride. This must've been the first attempt on the ride, because you could see the terrified look on my face. I hear everyone laugh and I laugh along with them.
We get the pictures from the second successful attempt on the ride and we all had smiles on our faces on the drop, and it was actually a great photo. I look at Patrick as he looks at the photo and I smile.
"Look at her face in the first one, how cute," Patrick says, laughing. I laugh.
I look at Patrick again. The truth was, I was in love with him. I really was. The whole band was so welcoming to this quick relationship, and I wonder if it was just because they didn't like Janelle. Maybe they truly did love me, and were happy I was here. Despite me being a fan, they were really generally nice people. I pondered the thought of what tour life would be like all the time. Traveling all over the world was my dream, and doing it with someone I love would only make it even better.
I drag the guys onto a rollercoaster I thought looked interesting, which was called Millennium Force. Gaining speeds up to ninety three miles per hour, it was our last rollercoaster of the day and was also a great ride to save for last. After that one Pete just dragged us on, this one was nothing.
"I love you," Patrick says, giving me a kiss as we leave the park. I smile and kiss his cheek.
"I love you, too," I tell him. "This was a lot of fun. Really. And if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't of gotten on Top Thrill Dragster."
"Hey, you can thank Pete, I probably wouldn't have gone it either," Patrick says, looking over at Pete. He looks up from his phone and points at us, smiling, as his way of thanking us.
We get a picture in front of the amusement park's sign before we go, all of us crowding around the huge sign, giving a thumbs up. This amusement park trip was only the beginning of all the memories we would make.
