*Do you guys mind if the chapters are short? I just noticed that the past few have been really short. I can make them longer if you'd like. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback! :)*
"Last year's wishes are this year's apologies," Patrick sings. "Every last time I come home."
Patrick glances at Alyssa and Joe, and Alyssa was standing there, smiling. Joe seemed pretty happy, too. Everything was going well. I take out my phone and start to take some pictures. Whether this worked or not, I still wanted to take pictures. I mean, when does this ever happen in life?
"Woah, woah, woah," Pete says, cutting Patrick off right before the chorus begins. I slowly put my phone down, confused. You never knew what Pete was up to, and to be completely honest, I was scared to see what was going to happen.
"Yes Pete?" Patrick asks, confused. I've never seen this happen before. Alyssa looks over at me, and I shrug. Pete cut off a perfect moment in front of thousands. I wasn't mad, but like I said, the confusion is really getting to me.
"We all agree that these two have something special that can't be described in words, right?" Pete asks, walking over to Alyssa and Joe. My jaw drops. This was too straightforward. This was too...not right.
The crowd cheers, because they'd cheer at anything Pete says. I put my hands over my face, hoping this was a nightmare. I look at Patrick. He was just as worried as I was. I wanted to run out there and grab Alyssa, but I couldn't. This was just a disaster.
But, to my surprise. Joe smiles at Alyssa, and she smiles back. I sigh of relief.
"Guys, you know the words," Pete says. He has the crowd chant "Kiss her, kiss her", just like the lyrics from "A Little Less Sixteen Candles". Patrick and Andy join in, and so do I.
Joe kisses Alyssa and the crowd explodes. I literally couldn't hear myself think, it was so loud. I smile and clap, cheering for them. Maybe Pete did know what he was doing. Patrick looks over at me, and I mouth a "Thank you", and he responds with a "You're welcome."
"Alright Patrick, let's get back to this thing," Pete says, into the microphone. The guys set back up and Alyssa walks off stage, and then runs over to me backstage. We hug and both laugh, excitedly.
"Did you guys plan this?"
"Patrick and I may have said something. Alyssa, we all knew, we all could see it. You're welcome." She laughs and hugs me again as "I'm Like a Lawyer" finishes.
"Two more weeks, my foot is in the door," Patrick sings.
This concert turned out to be perfect. I watch Pete get in the crowd, partially crowd surfing, you know, the usual when they play "Saturday." Everyone was having a good time, everything turned out right, everything was just, well, perfect. And besides, no one could hate this song.
"Thank you guys, you were great!" Pete says, into the microphone, after the song ends. The guys walk off stage and Patrick walks over to me, immediately giving me a kiss. Joe kisses Alyssa, and Patrick and I look at them, like we were proud parents.
"Amazing job tonight, as usual," I tell Patrick, looking right at him. He smiles and gives me another kiss. "Thank you," he says to me.
"Pete, you messed it all up!" Patrick says, throwing a towel that Patrick used to wipe the sweat off his face with at him.
"Oh really?!" Pete exclaims, laughing, pointing at Alyssa and Joe, who were standing next to each other, smiling, laughing, talking, kissing once in awhile. "Yes, they hate each other completely!"
Patrick and I both laugh but then I realize something. I haven't been home in two days. No, three? I don't know. Two and a half. I start to panic. My parents and sister were probably flipping out. Where was FOB going next, anyways? Was I coming with them?
"Patrick, I need to talk to you," I say, pulling him over to the side. He loosk at me, confused.
"It's nto a bad thing, well, not to you, but...I haven't been home in like three days, and I haven't talked to my family in three days. Not intentionally, but-"
"Holy smokes," he says to me, starting to walk away, holding my hand. "We better get you home."
"Wait, wait, woah there hot stuff," I say, holding him back. He stops and turns around.
"I'm just gonna go home and say, "Hey, Patrick Stump is my boyfriend now, hi"?!" I say to him. I ntoice Pete looking over, eavesdropping on the conversation. He walks over to us.
"Then we'll come, too."
"Oh perfect, Pete," I say to him. "'Hi, Mom and Dad, I've been with Fall Out Boy for the past three days'. They'll love that."
"Don't forget that they're gonna think you slept with Patrick," he says to me. "Like, slept."
"PETE!" Patrick and I both scream, slapping his arms. He laughs, backing up.
"Actually, maybe Pete's right," Patrick says, after a few minutes, looking back at me.
"About what again?" I ask, eyebrows raised, wondering if he was talking about me sleeping with him or the whole band coming with me back home.
"We'll come back home with you. Right now. Yeah, it's late, but we have to leave tomorrow. Wanna come to Ohio with us?"
I look at him shocked. "Hell yeah!" We both smile.
"Alyssa!" I exclaim, walking over to her and Joe. "We're going back to my house. Then we're going to Ohio tomorrow. Or at least the band and I are."
"She's coming," Joe says, smiling at her. They were so in love. I laugh and roll my eyes. We all walk out to the bus and I prepare myself for the most odd "homecoming" ever.
