Germany was every bit as exciting as I hoped it'd be. I dragged Asmoday behind me as he carefully observed the new environment. "Are you gonna be okay?" I asked, noticing he seemed more nervous than curious. "Fine, thanks. I just have a bad feeling about this. I'm sure I'll relax soon." If Asmoday is nervous, you should be too. He's a bit more level headed and rational than most. I searched for the venue. "I think it's over here somewhere." I weaved through a small crowd of people. "This looks right." I looked up at the sign and sure enough, there was the name of the band Dark was running around with. "I don't know German. Use your demon skills and tell me what the hell that says." Asmoday read it. "So tonight is the last show in Germany. I bet it'll be a full house." "Do you have tickets?" he asked. "Nope. That's why we have to find Dark. I'm sure he can get us in." "I'll get you in if you promise to behave yourselves." I turned to see Dark behind us with a small entourage of women. "Nice harem." I said, taking a step back to observe. "It isn't a harem until we've fucked." I rolled my eyes. "What brings you here?" he asked, excusing himself from his group of followers. "She misses you and somehow I got dragged into this." Asmoday said. "I'm glad you came after all. I haven't exactly not missed you, too." For some reason I was beginning to feel the same sensation of impending doom Asmoday had been bitching about for the last while. "Thousand yard stares are unattractive." Dark said, waving his hand in front of my face. "Sorry, I was just thinking." I looked over at Asmoday who seemed just as uncomfortable. "Maybe this was a mistake. We're all so close, something bad might happen." "Are you still going on about blowing my cover?" he asked in a harsh whisper. I nodded and he rolled his eyes. "(Y/N), it's fine. You came here, might as well enjoy yourself. If it's any consolation this is the last show in Germany and you can skip it and hang out with me later if you're so damn worried. That won't hurt my feelings." "Dämon! Ach komm schon." I turned to see one of Dark's little friends speaking to him. "Augenblick." he replied. I had no idea what she had just said, but she seemed eager to go spend time with Dark. Not surprising. I always am. "Why is she calling you demon? You fucked up, didn't you?" Asmoday asked, sounding a healthy combo of extremely annoyed and extremely concerned. "Trust me, it's nothing." Dark replied. "Are you fucking nuts? You realized you're gonna have to kill her and MY ASS is on the line. You remember that I'm a justice right? If anyone finds out my name is mixed up in this shit, I'm fucking done for." He covered his face with his hand. "You are such a smart guy, why do you do such dumb shit?" "Dad, relax." Dark said, trying desperately not to roll his eyes hard enough to see brain matter. He explained the little nickname and I watched Asmoday relax a bit. "Are you sure they're not onto you? They seem shady." he asked. "If they were, you'd know. You're a justice. Don't you get some kind of a notice of exposure?" "We all fuck up sometimes. There is a chance..." "Oh my god, quit worrying. If you two came here to worry at me, it might be better that you do go back to LA." I was taken aback by Dark's sharpness. I hope this whole fame thing isn't going to his head. "Alright, alright, go have fun. We'll see you tonight. After that I'm gone, I have work to do." "Sounds good." Dark replied, turning to his friends. "Ich bin bereit." he said, walking off with them. "So. We have time to kill...wanna try the bar scene in Germany?" Asmoday seemed unsure. "I'm not the best at drinking. You've seen what happens to me." he replied. "You need to build up a respectable alcohol tolerance, Asmoday. This is the perfect place to do that. Beer is a way of life here." I observed the square and noted all the bars and lounges. "Going to a concert drunk is pretty amazing, by the way." I said, taking him by the hand. "If you say so." he replied, reluctantly following me. "It's not like we have anywhere else to go or anything else to do." I replied. "Come on, I'll get the first round...if I can convert my dollars to euros." I heard the sound of fingers snapping. "Check your wallet." Asmoday said. I looked inside to see that all of my cash was now euros. "See this is why I love going places with you two." I said, taking my friend to the nearest patio. "You have to order though. I'm completely German illiterate." Asmoday placed a few basic orders at the bar and we toasted. "I think in Germany they say prost..." I said, trying not to spill any of my overpriced, oversized beer. "Correct." Asmoday replied. "I think everything just might be okay." I said, sipping on my beer. "I still feel a bit nervous, (y/n)." he replied. "Me too, but...I think Dark is right, we're worrying a lot and it's probably for nothing." A few beers later, worry was a thing of the past. "Is it just me, or is this stuff stronger than American beer?" Asmoday shrugged. "I still know next to nothing about alcohol." he replied. I giggled. "So are you ready?" I asked. "For the show? I guess." I hung onto his arm. "You should be stoked. Your son is a rock star...that's pretty tight." He chuckled. "He keeps me on my toes, that's for sure." he replied. "Let's go, we've gotta make sure he remembered to put us on the VIP list."
