Chapter 4: Dates And Late

When the school bell rang, everyone sprinted out of their classrooms ready to leave for the day. Suji stayed behind as she was putting back all her stuff in her locker. Usually, no one would be around the school boundaries anymore.

In fact, Suji didn't want anyone to. She didn't no why though. As she made her way down the stairs, really, there was no one in sight.

She continued her way down still carrying her backpack and once she reached for the door handle, she recognized one of the students. It was Chan. He was standing near the bus stop, but the bus had already left.

Suji opened the door and continued to walk. She stopped at a certain point when Chan stopped and smiled at Suji. He waved at her and signaled her to come over. She did, of course.

"Suji-ah," Chan said sweetly to Suji. She stood nervous and a little bit awkward. "I was wondering if you would like to go somewhere with me." he told.

Suji's face grew hot. "Somewhere? With him???" she thought in her head.

She looked up at Chan who was still smiling at her.

"Will you?" he asked stepping a little closer to the female.

Suji thought to herself. "If I don't accept this proposal, than I might never be asked this again."

"S-sure," she answered smiling nervously at Chan. "I'll come along with you Y– I mean Chan."

Chan smiled at Suji making her heart melt. "It's okay if you called me 'Yuchan.' I know you're not use to calling me 'Chan.'"

Suji stepped back nervously. "Aha, that's true." she said shakily.

"Well, anyway you said 'yes' so I'll meet you," Chan thought about it for a minute. "you... at 9:00 AM."

"Do you know where I live?" Suji asked Chan.

"No." Chan answered Suji's question.

"Then... where will we meet?" she asked.

"We'll meet here," Chan replied. "We're our of school property, so if staff catch us, it won't affect us."

Suji nodded with a tiny smile forming on her lips.

"You're cute when you smile." Chan told her when he noticed her tiny smile.

Suji looked up at him, flustered.

"Th-that's not true." she denied.

Chan laughed.

"I'll get going now," he told Suji. "Remember to meet me at 9:00."

Chan started to walk off as Suji couldn't hide her excitement. She was ecstatic about this. She'll get to spend time with Chan, not inside school but outside of school.

Suji turned the other way and walked off to her apartment. When she arrived she greeted, "I'm here Mom."

She closed to door behind her while her mom was cooking food.
