Chapter Eight - Contact lens, McDonald's, Awkward Silence

When I saw Venice came out of the fitting room, my jaw dropped. i know she's simple but when she stepped out of the room, she's so beautiful. More beautiful than El, Dani, or Tenn. Most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my entire life. She's simple yet so ... so gorgeous. She fit in that dress like it was made for her. I never noticed her long legs before up until now. I stand up, not knowing what to do and walked towards her. My mind is like telling me to stop but my feet won't listen. I stopped infront of her and leaned to her ears.

"You looked beautiful. No, you're beautiful." I whispered to her. She whispered "thanks" before I kissed her in the cheeks. WHAT THE HELL HARRY EDWARD STYLES? WHY THE HECK DID YOU KISSED HER? Her cheeks was so soft and warm. I felt a slap in my shoulders and Tenn started talking.

"Stop flirting with Venice, would you?" she said. She ordered me to go back to my seat. I winked at Venice and walked back. Venice was asked to try different clothes and when the door closed, all eyes were looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Don't 'what' us Harry! why did you kissed her?" Liam asked.

"It's only in the cheeks guys." I said.

"And should we thank you for not kissing her in the lips then?" asked Zayn. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Aww, I know that look!" exclaimed Lou.

"I don't like her!" I said.

"I'm not going to say that. Aww, Harry is all grown up now." he cooed.

"What's the connection of the first statement to the second?" asked Niall.

"None of your business. He likes her." said Lou to Niall.

"I do not! I do that often!" I defended myself, a bit irritated.

"But not to her type." said Niall. I felt defeated. Tenn went out of the room again, so is Venice. Damn, she got prettier and prettier everytime she walk out of that door.

We went to an optical shop to buy contact lens for Ven. We looked around to see something interesting. I found none. I heard them babling about clear and colored contact lens. I heard Venice say, "It's no color or no contacts at all Tenn." which caught everyone's attention. Surely, no one has ever heard her talk like that before. She looked around and muttered something and Tenn gave her a hug. I felt envy that time. Wait. No. Why?

"Look!!!! They're hugging! I wanna join!" said Niall and ran to the girls. El ad Lou hugged as well so I came to hug too. I wanted to hug Venice but El beat me.BUMMER. Wait. do I feel jealous? Oh shoot. I feel my hear racing. This is not good. A young lady coughed and we all back up. She called, I guess Venice's surname and she walked towards her. We all waited outside as Venice wear her contacts. After a while, a not-wearing-glasses Venice joined us.

Wow, for that moment, I looked in her eyes only. It's beautiful. I suddenly want to thank her for choosing clear contacts.

"You look good without glasses." said Liam.

"Yeah, your eyes are beautiful. same color as mine." Zayn said. No, Zayn. Hers are darker. I thought.

"Change to the clothes we bought." said El excitedly. Seriously. Danielle becoming more and more like Liam and Eleanor becoming more and more like Louis. Tenn and Dani grab her in both hands and pulled her out of the shop.

"Text me where you'll go!" El said before following.

"Let's go and eat. I'm hungry!" said Niall for the first time since we arrived here.

"Wow, mate. That's the first time you said you're hungry." said Lou as if he's reading my mind.

"Really?" Niall asked.

"Yeah. You didn't annoyed my ears today." Zayn said nudging Niall's shoulder.

"Well, all it takes is a day of shopping for Venice? We should do this often." said Liam.

"Whatever mate, let's go.  I'm really hungry." he said walking out of the door.

We went to McDonald's and Liam placed our orders. We sat at the farthest end of the restaurant not to get attention. Liam returned with a tray in his hands. he put it down and sat beside Zayn.

"Lou, text El that we're in McDonald's." said Liam while he gives our food.

"She said they're coming." said Louis putting his phone in his pocket.

After a while, we heard El's voice.

"Hey guys!" We turned around to see them. El and Dani are walking together and probably Ven and Tenn behind them. They stop a few inches before us.

"Presenting, the new Venice!" said El. They moved to the side leaving Ven and Tenn in the middle. My jaw drop and my heart race. This can't be her. No it can't be.The girl standing beside Tenn wears a blue blouse with white jean shorts and blue wedges. Her hair is neatly placed into a ponytail. She wears a light make-up and pink lipstick which I found attractive.

"So, what do you think?" asked Dani.

"Pretty." said Zayn.

"Beautiful." said Niall.

"You did a very good job!" said Liam. "You're beautiful Ven."

"Stunning. Very different from before." said Louis. There was a minute of silence and I felt Lou tap my shoulder. Their eyes are all on me.

"Uh, uhm, well ..." I started to say. My heart pounds like drums now.

"I love it." Oh shoot. Harry Styles, why did you say that? Of all the compliments in the world? Awkward silence filled the room. All eyes still on me until Venice cleared her throat.

**Venice's POV**

It's Harry's turn to say what he thinks. Silence filled the room and I got nervous. I looked at him and he's probably nervous as well. Louis pat his friend and Harry started speaking.

"Uh, uhm, well..." he said. "I love it." blood rush to my face and my heart beat faster than ever. More silence filled the room until I cleared my throat. Their eyes shifted from Harry to me. I'm no public speaker but I gathered all the courage to speak loud.

"Uhm, I just want to thank you for this." I smiled. "Uh, thanks for treating me like I belong." I blush lightly then looked down.

"Aww, you're welcome sweetie." Dani pulled me into a hug so did El and Tenn. The boys followed.

"Guys, can we hug later? I'm still hungry." Niall said. We all laughed and get back to the table.
