Diamonds Pov

School came to an end. The bell rang an all I could think of is the letter. Maddison and I walked out the school together talking .

"You catch bus!" She asked

"Yeah , you?"

"Nah, my grandmother said since I don't know she but New Orleans Crap she finna be picking me up. want a ride!" She said

"Nah, I catch bus so I can pick up my sisters and brothers from the bus stop! Catch yah later !" I said

She dapped me and walked off.

I got on the bus and pulled the note out of my pocket. I rubbed my finger against the fine handwriting in the front. I remember it. The way she signs.

I tore open the envelope and saw computer paper. I took them out and began ready. I couldnt even finish reading because I began crying from the first thing I read on the paper. My tears dropped on the paper making the words fade away.

The bus came to a halt. My stop. I got up and shoved the paper in my pocket , put my bag on my back and got off the bus. I walked toward the bus stop wiping may face.

"Diamond!" I heard

I looked left and saw Lauren calling

Me. I haven't heard from her in a long time but I don't think I can take so much heart breaks in one day. So I put my head down . She looked skinny as ever and so different.

I sat at the bus stop and she came over to me.

"You heard me calling you!" She said

"No, who are you?" I said

"D, are you serious!"

"You dogged me out for a nigga and expect me to see you and miss you. No! " I said

"Diamond , he rescued me and was trying to help find my sister because you wasn't trying to help me." She said

"No , because you was fucking frank and acting like I don't know and when time came and he beat yo ass you want my help. No! I saved you to much time and I didn't have time to save myself. I cared so much about you! You were my sister but times turn and tables burn and you lost. You lost me! I care no longer about you! Bye" I said

"No diamond! I went missing just like my sisters and you never once came to look for me."

"Wait , just like you I had a job. I was tryna make it just like you . My last years in school and you think imma just stop to look for you. Sorry no! No! It doesn't work like that! I loved you personally but I wasnt down for that type of challenge!"

"I help you out of so many things with your mother and you could even do me a small favor!"

"Im doing you 3 big ones right now! "

What are they!"

"Your sister! I feed them , clothes , and finance them. I'm there guardian because you think leaving them alone is good guardianship. No it's not! "

"I never asked you to!"

"Like I never asked you to back all my life!"

"They came with the Benefit of being your best friend!"

"Like taking care of sisters came with it too!" I said

Their bus came and they came off. All of them walked straight to me. They looked at Lauren and walked off

"You got them against me!"

"I didn't say nothing to them about you. They made their mind up to go that way. I can't get in their heads to change anything. They think you abandon them as their sister and their Guardian and you sure as hell did!" I said and walked off
