Diamond Pov

Today I woke up feeling happy and hungry. I went to the bathroom washed my face and headed to the kitchen to dub up some breakfast before we head out to school. I was the only one up so I hardly made noise to wake they little grumpy ass up.
I got out all the ingredients to make the breakfast then I heard a truck. I stopped , panicked , locked off all the lights and Ran to the window. I saw the mailman walking coming to the door because we don't have those mail things that be outside on the front lawn because it got knocked over years ago when James was drunk. It was relief because I was scared as hell. Anyways he dropped it on a chair then walks off. I waited until he drove off and went to go get the mail. I grabbed it and ran back inside , locking the doors and sitting down. It was a bunch of Pastdue bills, letters, and magazines. I ripped open the bills to what was pastdue. The cable was 170.56 , light was 189.75, water was 197.45 , and rent was the freaking highest 294.67. The total price was 852.43 and this was all that I'm gonna lose in 2 days. I slammed the paper in the ground and moaned in frustration. Now the letters. The 2 letter look unfamiliar to me but it was made out to me. The first one I open was so unexpected from my mother. I closed it back up and threw it on the shelf. I couldn't bare to open a letter from her after the months and weeks she left me in this house playing her part. I just couldn't that I ran to the bathroom holding my hand to my face , crying softy. The pain that one letter could cause me, I didn't risk it so I was ready to burn it an act like I never received it but then what could be so bad about the letter. after all she had a reason to write one.

I left the letter and continued in my day. I finished breakfast then woke up Damian, leahnn , leahnna ,and Laurna. They ate and took their shower and dressed for school. By the time they were finished it was almost time to catch bus. The girls had on quite the same thing but In different colors. Leahn had on a blue skater skirt white a white crop top and yellow cardigan and Yellow and blue Retro Laney's and I brushed her hair in a nice neat high bun. Leahnna got on a black skater skirt with with a orange crop top and blue cardigan and I Did a bang and a bun in her head. Lastly Laurna was out so she had the retro 5s fire reds with a khaki pants and a reds , white and black Marvil shirt and her hair down with drop curls. I had the bob marleys shirt in white with a ripped blue jeans and red converse topped with a high bun and Damian went with the dark jeans , gamma blue 11 and black shirt. Now we all ready. I walked them to the bus stop an went back home to get my bag. I grabbed my bag and the letter fell on the ground. I picked it up , folded it and put it in my back pocket and headed to the door , locked it and walked to the bus stop.

"Excuse me Diamond ?"

"Yes" I said turning around at my locker
"I'm your guidance counselor ms. Dave and I have a favor for you!"

"Sure , why not because Im the only one attending here right ". I said with an attitude
"Hold your attitude missy. But please can you follow Maddison Gráy to her classes because she has the exact schedule as yours .She chose you actually!" She said and waked off

Madison look cool to me.
"Aye Maddison,let me get the schedule!" I said
"You talk hard, where you from?" She asked
"Here!"
"You sound like you from the Bronx or Miami beach." She said
"Where you from " I asked
"New Orleans, !" She said
"Why you here now?" I said
"'Tryna find my loyal parent which is my dad because my mother got my brother killed a week ago!" She said sadly
"If it makes you feel any better ion know my dad and my mother is a junkie!" I said sadly
"My mom to." She said
We shook hands and walk through the hallways
"Are all the girls so fashionista!" She asked
I laughed because her accent was cool AF.
"Yeah , they all hype for the J's and still living in the project with roaches all in the draws and can't even get a proper 75 and be fucking them teachers to be at the top." I said
