Chapter 3 A New "Friend"

     K.O and Dendy were in the Mystical Forest, trying to find Grimm. So far, they haven't found a single one. K.O felt like just calling it for the day. Dendy, as usual, was looking at her screen which showed a map of the forest. "Hmm, she said to go deep into the forest." Dendy spoke to herself, stopping in her tracks.

    "K.O," Dendy said as she glanced to the child.

   "Yeah, Dendy?" K.O asked.

    "I think we should split up to find these, Grimm."

    "I don't feel comfortable with that." K.O told Dendy as he rubbed his arm.

     "It'll be alright, K.O. We have each other to look out for, even if we split up." Dendy reassured K.O as she put her hand on his shoulder. K.O, as the sweet and kind cinnamon roll he is, gave her a smile.

     They went in separate directions, Dendy went left and K.O went right. His smile faded faster than it came. He just wandered around, getting deeper and deeper into the forest. Almost an hour went by. Actually, K.O didn't what time it was.

     K.O sat down near a tree, and just looked straight into the forest in front of him. The forest itself was beautiful. But even great beauty can hide dangerous monsters. If your wondering how K.O and Dendy know about Grimm being deep within the Mystic forest, Carmen sent K.O a text to tell Dendy that she knows a place where they can find Grimm.

    K.O felt a little scared being alone in the forest, when the possibilities of being attacked by a Grimm is infinite. That was when he heard a faint, low growl. The sound of it was hoarse. It made K.O stand up in a hurry.

    "H-hello? Dendy, i-is that y-you?" K.O called out in fear. K.O looked around his surroundings slowly. When he looked to his right, burning red eyes could be seen within the darkness of the forest. K.O slowly took a few steps backwards, and the eyes glowed brighter as they came closer to him. What came out of the darkness was, of course, a Grimm.

   However, this Grimm was different. It was wolf like with the same black fur as the Ursa and claws that could probably leave deep cuts on a man. It had spikes protruding from its back and front legs.

       Crap. K.O thought to himself. The creature roared loudly, causing K.O to quickly flee. The Grimm ran on all fours after him. "Dendy! Someone help me!" K.O cried out in panic.
