PRISON
"How'd you sleep?" Rick asked as he gave Karen a cup of water. Karen smiled softly before she took the cup.
"Not good. But not bad either. I still get...nightmares." She stated softly as Rick sat down next to her.
"Everyone get's nightmares around here, Karen. Including me. That's just how it is now. And it's okay. Because it's normal." He stated as Karen met his eyes.
"Thanks, Rick." Rick nodded before he patted her shoulder.
"I do have to warn you though," He began as he stood up. "Hurt anyone in this group and I will not hesitate to put you down. Understood?"
Karen nodded before Rick walked out of her cell.

"Glad you're up." Karen turned to see Carl leaned up against the doorway as Karen fixed the rim of her shirt.
"What do you guys do around here?" Karen asked as Carl thought about it. He gestured for her to follow him which she did and ended up following him outside the huge prison.
"When there's not much to do, which there really isn't, a couple of us would go to the fences and take down some of the walkers. So that the fences won't have too much pressure and it would stay up." Carl explained as Karen looked over at the fences.
She saw a real pretty girl, a Korean boy, the woman with the sword, and a man with a crossbow stabbing at the walkers.
Karen gulped softly as she watched the walkers; having faith that they won't get in. This is the only really home she's had for months. She couldn't afford to lose it.
"But, other than that, we use to come out here into the fields, farm, cook food, grow food. Everything. But then the walkers got in and we had to stop them. Ended up killing the food because of bad soil." Carl finished before a woman approached him.
"Carl, we need your help with the sick people. It grew over night." The woman said before Carl nodded.
"I'll be right there, Natalie." The woman, Natalie, walked off; leaving Carl and Karen in dead slience.
"I'm—I'm going to go meet up with Hershel. He said he needs to give me more meds for my nutrition. So, I'm going to head there." Karen trailed off before following the trail back to her cell.
"Good, you're here." Karen nodded as she sat down on the bottom bunk, watching as Hershel gave her some pills and water.
Once she took it, he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm going to check on you before you go to sleep tonight. Make sure to eat something and I'll have my daughter, Maggie, and Carl show you around more." Hershel suggested as Karen nodded.
"Thank you, Hershel." Hershel nodded with a smile before Karen left out of her cell towards outside.

"You know how to use a gun?" Karen turned around to see Carl behind her holding a sliencer.
"Yeah. I also know how to use a knife, machete, and a crossbow. Any more you'd like to know?" Karen joked which caused Carl smirk.
"You got a sense of humor. I like it." He said causing Karen's blood to rise to her cheeks.
"Thanks. I guess." She muttered the last part before she met his eyes.
"You know, why don't you show me what you can do?" He asked as Karen approached him, grabbing the sliencer.
"Alright, cowboy." She joked as she went up to the fence. Without even focusing her aim, she began to shoot. They began hitting the nearby walkers on the fences, none of the bullets missing their skulls.
Carl stared in between the girl and the almost empty area of walkers. Nothing but dead walkers piled up against each other. Carl smiled sheepishly before Karen stopped firing; realizing she's out of ammo.
"Is that good enough for you?" Karen said with a sly smirk on her face. Carl nodded before Karen placed the sliencer in his hand.
"Your sliencer's out of ammo." Karen stated before she walked away, leaving Carl to stare back at the scene. He's liking this girl more and more every minute.
