Claude x Neko!Reader Modern AU

This was a request from CheshireKitten424, I did end up making it a modern AU and I had a lot of trouble with this one, I'm not very good when it comes to writing Claude.

Halloween, the one day of the year that I can go out without my headband.

I knock on the door of my demonic boyfriends house and he opens the door immediately, his golden eyes widen when he sees me, my ears and tail on full display, I don't let them show in public on any day other than Halloween.

"Trick or treat?" I ask as my little fangs show, they barely overlap my lip.

"Hm, I choose trick," Claude says with a smirk as he lifts me over his shoulder and kicks the door closed as he walks into his living room. He drops me on his couch before walking over and putting a movie in the DVD player, undoubtedly a horror movie, it is Halloween after all. "Happy Halloween (Y/n)."

"Happy Halloween Claude," I say with a smile as the lights in the room suddenly go out and the movie starts up, he sits next to me and I curl up into his side as my tail and ears flick in anticipation. I smile as he wraps his arm around my back and pulls me closer to him.

About half way through the movie I bury my head into Claude's side and whimper I fear, he chuckles and turns the TV off as he pulls me onto his lap.

"You've never done well with horror movies," Claude remarks and runs a hand down my back and scratches behind my left ear as I bury my head in his neck, "I don't see why you're so scared."

"Demon," I mutter angrily and Claude chuckles as softly as he continues to pet me in an attempt to calm me down.

"It's alright (Y/n)," I nod and he kisses my ear making me blush, my ears are sensitive and he knows this, "Are you alright now?"

"Yeah," I say quietly and take my head out of his neck, I smile up at him before yawning.

"Let's get you into bed," I nod and shift into a (h/c) cat, Claude picks me up and carries to his room where he lays down with me on his chest, "Get some sleep (Y/n)." I nod and curl up into a ball on his chest as I fall asleep.
