Her jaw slightly drops when she sees my car. "You drive this monster of a vehicle?" She's completely awe struck, and I can't help but laugh.

The truck is pretty huge, but I like things that way. It makes me feel giant and it's just fun to drive. It's about a foot off the ground and the tires are huge. I mean, I bought the truck for mudding so, the size of it matters.

Our height difference isn't that great, so as I'm hoisting her up I realize that she probably doesn't really need my help. Jogging over to my side, I throw my door open and hop in. I let the car warm before backing out and listening to her directions on where to go.

"So what made you join basketball again, because if I'm right you played for a while right?"

I was a little hesitant to answer. I mean I didn't want to tell her that I quit because I was an angry kid with no feelings. "Uh I was just going through changes that weren't that positive."

She understood and didn't question anything else.

The majority of the ride was filled with small talk, jokes and laughter, which was okay with me. I realized that she's a pretty relaxed girl and she's far from judgemental. When you talk, you have her undivided attention and that just feels great. Her chocolate brown eyes are extremely inviting and the way she throws her head back when she laughs is the cutest thing.

When we arrive, realization smacks me in the face. I don't know her name. How did I not ask her once? Shit.

Finding a parking spot takes forever because every time I see one, a car slides right in. Every time that happened I swore up a storm and she just laughs at me. Great. Now she thinks I'm some temperamental ass.

After about 10 minutes we finally find a spot, and it's only a short walk away from the restaurant. We still arrived before the rest of the girls so we decided to wait in the car until they were here.

"So I never got your name, mystery woman"

She laughs "You can just call me that. I like the way it sounds, or I mean I guess you can call me Jen or Jenny."

We fill the car with small talk and after about 15 minutes all of the girls are here. Checking the time(6:00) I realize that I have about 20 messages from the group chat, that I am still in and chose to ignore them.

"Hey strangers! Jesus you guys left quickly. Could've waited for us" A blonde shouts. I think her name is Lauren. She's about my height, made an inch taller. Just from her shout, I can tell that she's a hyper person and nothing would be dull around her.

"Well you guys took a day and a half to get ready. Maybe move a little quicker, eh?"

She wraps an arm around my neck "Ha I like her. She's sarcastic as shit."

Jenny laughs and I wrap my arm around Lauren's waist, I mean why not. Don't want to seem awkward. The other girls are shouting and laughing and I can't help but smile. Being with then actually feels right. All of their carefree attitudes melt any anger away.

Chrissy, prior team captain, gets a table for 14 and when the waiter sees us, Lauren and I wrapped up in each other and Jenny and Natalie both on different girls backs, he can't help but smile.

He led us to a grand dinning table and placed down all of our menus. I sit in between Lauren and Jenny. All of the girls quickly find a seat and the laughter and chatter begins again. I'm actually apart of it this time and it's great. Lauren is about as sarcastic as I am and Chrissy seems more like a mother than a captain. If we got too loud she would quiet us down, if someone wasn't talking she'd try and coax them into the conversation. The atmosphere was great.
