A/N: Hey guys! Just so you know, this chapter is going to be mostly on Jack's P.O.V. I know I don't get many views, but I'm here to enjoy writing. Here we get to start the adventure through Potc 2. I have added some scenes from the movie, so credit to the writers of potc. I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Tortuga, the one place no man would ever feel unwanted, as Jack would say. It was late at night, which ment drunk pirates roaming the streets, bottles thrown from one place to another, bar fights, and wenches.

Jack was on his beloved vessel The Black Pearl. He wasn't in the mood to drink, flirt, or fight. Instead, he was only thinking about one thing...

Elizabeth.

He couldn't get her off his mind. He never thought he would have feelings for a proper and clean lady such as her, but he knew something that was certain. Elizabeth is the type of woman that wants to sail the seas, and be free.

Jack knew that, just the memory of staring into her eyes, he could tell she was more than what she is.

"Jack, you are thinking of her again aren't you?" Gibbs said, trying to bring him back to his senses. Jack looked at him and acted confused, leaning on the rail while looking at the horizon.

"What are you talking about? I'm not thinking about anyone..." he said in a serious tone.

"Aye, Jack...but you can't doubt that you want her near you." Gibbs said with a smirk behind Jack.

"Mr. Gibbs? You have some sailors that need to be signed in me crew...do you not?" Jack said a little annoyed. He hated when people ask him what's in his mind, or want to get into his feelings. Unfortunately, Gibbs knew him well enough to know when Jack is having those "moments".

Gibbs nodded and turned to walk off the ship, into the tavern, to sign up sailors for Jack's crew.

Jack sighed and turned back to look over the rail. He looked down at the calm water, swaying onto the sides of his ship, the salty smell of the sea, and the moon reflecting off the water. "I never get to keep things to myself with Gibbs around me." He thought to himself as he relaxed, watching the waves.

But soon enough, his mind went back to Elizabeth, the one he sent the letter to, along with his most prized possession. His compass. "Why is it so bloody hard to get my mind off that girl. She has Will..." he said quietly to himself and slowly walked away from the rail, letting his hand slowly slide off of it.

He went into his cabin and walked towards his desk. There were about three empty bottles of rum and one half full on the desk. Jack grabbed the half full rum bottle and popped the cork off. "Drinking will get my mind off things." he thought to himself and drank.

After a few minutes of finishing his rum, he went to the far left side of the cabin to look for another full bottle. He started to rummage around his little cabinet for a bottle, but he failed in his tiny search. "Rum is gone again.." he said quietly, annoyed.

Jack walked out his cabin, and downstairs to the storage room. He took the keys and unlocked the door that led to the storage supplies, food, water, and most importantly...rum.

He walked inside the dark room, with a lamp, and looked around for a bottle of rum. Jack searched, and searched until he found a bottle. When he took it out, the bottle was filled with sand.

Sand?

His thoughts were interrupted by a deep, low voice.

"Time's up Jack." Said a voice that came from a dark corner. That voice caused Jack to drop the bottle, causing the glass to shatter and the sand to spread across the floor.
