Midoriya's eyes were completely glossed over. Instead of their usual lively and brilliant green, they were now a milky, dull green.
He was blinded! The class thought collectively.
"Oi." Bakugo said stomping towards Deku. "What do you mean you can't see anyone? We're all right in front of you! Your eyes are wide open! I'm standing right here! I'M RIGHT HERE SHITTY DEKU!--" explosions escaped from his hands, causing Deku to flinch back.
"Stop! Calm down!" Kirishima grabbed onto Bakugo. "Chill out! The heros are arriving, man. Maybe one of them can help or call Recovery Girl or something." This wasn't how this evening was supposed to go. Kirishima glanced at Midoriya who was being helped up by Todoroki and Uraraka. He rubbed the back of his neck, staring up at Kaminari, who was pretty much frozen in place. Everyone else was talking softly amongst themselves.
Iida missed the exchange as he was helping authorities and heroes with the situation. He ran over to his classmates, explaining what he was told.
"Basically, we should all go back to our dorms and wait everything out there. Todoroki, they'll need your help unfreezing the villain, please!" Iida's arms swung around in his usual robotic way. Todoroki lit up his right side, but it was Bakugo who flew out in front of him, his explosions leaving trails of smoke behind him.
"I'LL KILL HIM!" Bakugo yelled.
"Kacchan, no! It's okay! I'm all right!" Midoriya tried to chase after him, only to stumble.
Todoroki was already running, catching up to Bakugo, his right arm outstretched. Right as he was about to completely melt the man, Bakugo fell to the ground, 10 feet from the ice statue while nothing came from Todoroki. A scarf of some sort stretched out, wrapping around Bakugo, restraining him to the ground.
Bakugo was growling like a wild animal being forced into captivity. Todoroki lowered his arm, still fuming. Iida stared at the two boys, mouth agape.
Aizawa stepped out from the new hordes of police cars as Endeavor appeared to start melting the criminal. "What's going on here that you two were about to become ex-Yuuei students?" Aizawa asked. Todoroki turned away, walking back to where Midorya was.
Midoriya was panicking. He had no idea what was happening around him. He was completely consumed with chaos. He gripped one hand on his head, the other on Uraraka's hand. Tears were now streaming down Uraraka's face.
Aizawa stepped closer to his class. "What's going on here?" Yaomomo stepped up, answering her teacher's question. She informed him of what happened and the ending result. Aizawa approached Izuku, tugging on his scarf. Bakugo, still acting like a wild beast, was rolled toward the other students.
Izuku looked scared and disoriented. Aizawa rubbed his chin. "This should only last a day or two. Why'd you have to directly stare into the light, Midoriya? What were you thinking?"
Midoriya shrunk at his teacher's words.
"He was going for Kacchan. I didn't know his quirk, or what he was capable of. I don't remember seeing him at the crime scene..." Midoriya trailed off. See him. Ha. The irony.
By this point, Kacchan was splayed against a wall, eyes wide. After hearing his childhood friend's words, he grew enraged. "I DIDN'T ASK FOR YOU TO SAVE ME SHITTY DEKU! I DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS!"
"I know you didn't, Kacchan! My body just moved on its own!--" Midoriya looked at the spot above Kacchan's head. Tears were streaming now, a wide smile plastered on Izuku's face. Todoroki turned to Bakugo, picking him up by his collar. "Give it a rest. He just saved you."
"I didn't need it!" Bakugo spit.
"Guys, let's just go. We can go home and regroup." Iida solemnly said, understanding the gravity of the situation. Todoroki let go of Bakugo's jacket and walked back over to Midoriya, who was blowing his nose on a blanket Yaomomo made. "Thanks for the handkerchief," Midoriya gave it back to Yaomomo.
"Almost." Kaminari said, giggling a little. Midoriya let out a genuine smile. The tension seemed to fall. Aizawa sighed. He was the one who would have to tell All Might about this. He shook his head at that thought.
"I have some things to finish up here. Are you all good to go back to the dorms on your own?" He glanced over his shoulder at his group of troublemakers.
"Yessir!" Iida yelled. Everyone else let out a mixture of yea and sure.
Todoroki seemed to have cracked, however. He scooped up Midoriya in his arms princess-style and ran. He was going to bring his friend to Recovery Girl and have this all fixed immediately. There was no regrouping, no calming down, nothing except for restoring his partner and first friend.

Midoriya yelped as Todoroki picked him up and carried him. "What's going on? Who's carrying me?" He pushed against his helper.
"It's just me. I'm bringing you to the Yuuei infirmary."
"But Aizawa-sensei said--"
"No! There is no remaining calm!" Todoroki shouted as he stopped at an intersection. "I can't remain calm. Not when you're like this, pretty much defenseless. I can't leave you like this, Midoriya. I just can't!"
"Put me down for a second."
"No! We need to hurry--"
"Shouto. Put me down." Todoroki was weak against Izuku, especially when he used his first name. Izuku took off a glove and pressed his hand against Shouto's cheek. Shouto closed his eyes, inhaling. He could feel his heart rate start to calm. Izuku felt around Shouto's face, imagining what he looked like as he traced every inch and crevice.
"You're so upset. But I'll be okay. There's no way this will last long. I made a rookie mistake, what can I say? I deserved this." Izuku heard Shouto exhale, as though he was punched in the gut. Shouto's face scrunched up, a pained expression replacing his usual stoic one.
"How could you say that?" He said, his voice sounding thick.
"TOOO-DAAAHH-ROO-KIIII!!!" Iida said coming up on the boys at almost blinding speed. Izuku took his hand back, putting the glove back on. He looked in the general direction Iida's voice was coming from. Todoroki moved Midoriya's head to the exact place Iida was standing before turning around.
"You can't just run off like that! Recovery Girl isn't even at school right now!"
"Yea man, she's old. She's probably been sleeping for like, three hours by now." Kirishima called out before catching up to the guys. Class 1-A came trailing behind him with Bakugo and Kaminari holding up the rear. Bakugo stared at his childhood friend, a dark expression crossing his face before looking away.
"Here, I made you this." Yaomomo stepped forward with a long pole, holding it out to Midoriya. He swung his left hand around until he felt it.
"Thanks. I'm not too sure how to use it yet, though. Besides, I won't need it for long! I'm sure I'll be back to normal in no time!" Izuku beamed, his right hand brushing against Todoroki's right hand. Heat radiated from him, enough for Midoriya to feel through his gloves.
"Tres bien!" Aoyama said from the center of the crowd. Everyone paused. Has he been here this whole time!?!?
