Chapter 28: 'Blink. Blink. Blink.'

Harry's P.O.V

God, I can't think straight. Get your head together man. I frustratedly run my fingers through my hair and give out a deep sigh. I untangle myself from Amelia, who's sleeping peacefully behind me. Light seeps through the small square window on the wall, which illuminates her tanned skin.

Damn it, she's just too good for me.

Why am I doing this to her? She doesn't deserve all of this. I mean yeah, she sure does deserve me. Yeah scoff whilst saying that as well, why don't you Harry? Nah...don't kid yourself, you know she'll kick your ass if she heard that.

...Fantastic...having conversations with yourself 3 in the morning.

I get off the bed and walk over to the computers. I might as well make myself useful instead of just lying there. I turn it on and the bright blue light welcomes me, making me shut my eyes in pain.

Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink. Bli-

"Welcome Mr Crawford, please enter your password" suddenly speaks the loud computerised voice.

I jump in my seat and automatically reach for the volume. As I reached for it so quickly, my hand knocked the knob upwards. All of a sudden a loud beep alerts me.

"Breach! Breach! House is under attack. I repeat, breach. House is under attack, please leave through the escape route" speaks the computer, as the beeping continues.

The eff?!

By now Amelia, was up (whilst groaning) and on her feet.

I approach her quickly, "No time babe, we gotta go"

"But..." she says, sleepily.

"Just hold this for a minute" I say, handing her the bag I already kept ready. See I'm so damn prepared for situations like this.

"Harry" she moans, as I shove her the bag which makes her slump. She rubs her eyes and looks over to me. I quickly came some essentials (food being one of them) and turn around to her. I grab the bag off her and stuff the food in. I sling the rucksack over my shoulder and clutch tightly onto her.

"Come on baby, wake up" I urge, as she sloppily trails behind me. As I know in no time, they'll break in pretty damn quickly (whoever 'they' is anyway). Glass shatters loudly above us and we hear the door violently being broken down. "Amelia" I start, getting into my 'warning' tone.

"I'm up, I'm up" she cuts off, slapping her face repeatedly.

I shake my head and grab her hands together, moving them away from her face. "Stop" I say, trying not the laugh at the same time.

The banging gets closer and closer every second. We approach the little hole that leads to the back of the house.

"Time to crawl Jaws" I say, pushing her downwards. She gets on her knees and looks into the darkness of the whole.

"Oh my God, it flipping stinks Harry" she groans, scrunching up her nose.

"Yeah, yeah you'll get used it" I say, "Now come on" I urge, as I hear the footsteps getting nearer to us. Thinking I have a few seconds, the door gets ripped apart. "Move Amelia, move!" I shout.

Within an instant, she starts crawling into the muddy hole. I enter after her, crawling at her pace as I can't go around her. "You've got to move faster" I practically scream.

I hear shouts in Italian getting nearer. "Rapidamente! Sono andato!". Footsteps stampede into the room, along with the sound of things being knocked over.
