Chapter 33: 'And that's all I ever wanted.'

Harry's P.O.V

The silly, silly girl. What is she thinking? Amelia collapses into my arms and I leap forwards to catch her before she hits the ground. I clutch her tightly as her eyes shut slowly.

"Amelia" I beg, "Wake up. No, no, no. What's wrong?" I shout, knowing she won't reply. I place my hand over her forehead and cheek to feel she's burning hot.

I look over to Austin to see what happened. Grunting, I lift her into my arms and carry her towards where Austin lays, panic in my eyes.

With tears still in her eyes, Gabs takes Austin's head into her lap, stroking his hair.

"He's okay" informs Bree, lifting up his shirt.

"It's okay Austin, you can open your eyes" hushes Gabs. Slowly Austin opens his eyes and sits up, hissing in pain.

"I-I can't" he mumbles, his eyes shutting again.

Carter then inspects his condition. "He's getting hot. Lift up his shirt."

Remarkably, everything makes sense. This is why we're all not in immense panic. Austin has a bulletproof vest! Gabs quickly unstraps the vest, which now has a hole through it to reveal his red, yet slightly bruised chest.

"He's hit his head too hard on the floor. He might have an injury to his head." says, the fully trained Dr. Suess over here.

"Guys, we have to go" I plead. "We need to get Amelia to the hospital. Both of them!" I say, looking at Austin.

"What's wrong?" all of them say, with worry.

"I don't know" I shrug in distress. "After she pulled the trigger, she just passed out"

"Is she hurt?" asks Carter

"I don't know, probably not" I say, looking over her face.

Austin then proceeds to get up. "It's okay" he groans, "I'm fine...just a little bruised"

"No you're not! says Gabs, "Look you've got a cut on your forehead"

"My head just really hurts Gabs, I'm fine. Really" he says, hugging her.

"I'm glad you're okay man" I say, in appreciation for everything he has done for us.

He nods back. "Come on, let's get this little misfit to the hospital". Gabs and Carter help him up. "Woah" he says, his eyes widening. "Head rush" he mumbles, standing up straight.

"Hold on to me" says Gabs, putting his arm over her shoulder.

"Just one second, go back to the car and phone home okay?" instructs Austin, "Make sure Kat is really safe"

Without arguing, Gabs nods solemnly and mouths an 'Ok'.

We start to head back but Austin walks the other way...towards Blaze. I stop and quickly jog back, Carter beside me. I forgot he was even there.

"Stay there" orders Carter to Bree and Gabs.

"What is it?" asks Gabs.

"You don't want to see this" murmers Austin.

I look over Austin's shoulder to see blood trickling down Blaze's face. Blood purging out of his neck, sinking into his t-shirt. I shake my head and look away as my eyes meet his open ones.

"I can't look at him" I say, turning around. I glance down at Amelia and bite my lip. She pulled the trigger. She killed him. I suddenly hug her tightly and kiss her on her forehead. "I'm leaving", I say coldly, walking towards Bree and Gabs.
