"When were you going to tell me?"
Tension filled the room. I wanted to say never, but I couldn't. I wanted to to tell him, but I always backed out at the end.
Now I'm standing here, facing the truth of our reality. I wanted to form a response, something.
"Huh?!"
"I'm sorry, Erik."
"Sorry nothing?! How long did you know about this," he paused, pacing around the room.
Until he stopped to look at me "How long were you going to keep this from me? Huh?! How long did you think I wasn't going to find out?!"
"I-I don't know," I tried to pick the right words. Maybe to make the situation better. "But, I have an appointment, today."
