Veronica's POV

I walked into the cafeteria to see Nessa stumble in with Tobias. She seems to be a bit out of breath and Tobias on the other hand looked really worried.

As I quickly made my way to the pair Div blocked my way.

"Hey Veronica!"

"Hey...can you excuse me I really need talk with Nessa."

Her jaw clenched as she heard this, I was surprised at this. Div has been my friend for a really long time and she's never been so sensitive when it comes to Vanessa.

I glanced over at Vanessa and she looked like she was going to pass out. Tobias was supporting her while glancing at me.

"Oh, but I really want to eat with you."

"Okay come with me than", I say as I walked quickly over to Tobias and Vanessa.

"What happened to her", I whispered into Tobias' ear.

"I think she had a panic attack", he said in a shaky voice.

I looked over to Vanessa and she was panting a bit with her hands on her thighs.

I gave her a reassuring hug.

"Do you know what could have caused it?" I asked still in the embrace.

"No, I have no idea", Tobias said shaking his head.

Suddenly Div came running to Tobias almost knocking Nessa to the floor if I weren't there.

She wrapped her arms around Tobias, "Hey Tobias, happy to see me", she said in a flirty voice.

"Uh sure", he said pulling Div's arms off.

I helped Nessa get into a normal standing position and she winced. She put her hand to the place where Div "accidentally" hit her. She winced once more.

"That's gonna be a bruise", she muttered in an exhausted voice.

"Hey Div can you say sorry to Nessa", I said barely controlling the anger that was filling me from head to toe.

"Oh fine. Vanessa I'm really sorry", Div said sarcastically.

I was about to lash out when I felt a tug on my sleeve. I looked over to see Nessa shaking her head.

"Come on Vanessa let's get you something to eat, you need more energy you look exhausted", Tobias said with a drop of worry in his voice.

Now that I think about it I can see why Nessa has a crush on him. He's very kind and notices small things. Although, he's not my type.

Lunch past by with tension between all four of us. It felt so weird, Nessa was unusually quiet, Div was trying to make Tobias fall for her, and Tobias was trying hard to ignore her.

Later on in the day Tobias invited us to his house for a sleep over expect for Div because she was acting awfully strange towards Vanessa. This kinda perked Nessa's interest, but her small smile soon turned into a frown.

As soon as Nessa and I got home we packed the things that we would need for one night.

It took about 20 minutes to pack and another 10 for both of us to change.

Tobias' POV
The doorbell rung and I dashed to the front door. I'm really excited to get to know the twins more. When I swung the door open I saw Veronica sporting a white sweatshirt with black leggings and Nessa in a black sweatshirt with a green paw print on the front with a pair of black leggings.

They were both beautiful, but there was something about Vanessa that I couldn't my finger on. But if you studied her face she looked exhausted, as if she hasn't slept in days. I wonder what's on her mind.
