Div's POV
(lol starting off with this monster)

"Blinded? Ha, you make me laugh it's nothing like that," Nixon growled lowly.

"Says the guy who told me to keep Tobias occupied," I fire back scanning the menu.

"So what! You haven't done anything about him. He literally went on a date with her today."

"Really?," I say surprised with my eyebrows raised.

"Don't act like that, just hurry up and tell me the plan, Div."

"Ah ah ah patience," I warn him looking over to Veronica and Aaron.

"I don't understand you, honestly! You claim to care for Veronica yet you plan to hurt her."

I feel my lips press into a line, my gaze meeting his.

"You're wrong, so so wrong. I'm doing this for her."

"Doesn't seem like that Div. You claimed her ex and Nessa hurt her, I bet you're making it all up."

"It doesn't involve you, boy. Now shut your mouth I'm trying to concentrate."

He rolls his eyes and turns his head to the side, his face morphing into a scowl.

Third Person

The car ride was certainly awkward with Vanessa questioning herself and Tobias refusing to say anything.

"I'm really sorry if I said something wrong," Vanessa voices out.

The boy heaves a sigh and slightly glances at her. "I could never be mad at you."

"Then why do you seem so upset?"

"Look, it's just that I'm afraid of him taking you away from me. I'm jealous okay!?" Tobias angrily confesses his hands tightening around the steering wheel, his green eyes glaring at the road ahead of him.

After a few minutes of silence, Vanessa finally speaks up. "You shouldn't be afraid of that," she says softly looking out the window. "I'm not interested in him in that way."

Tobias' head perks up and he breathes out. "Really? For some reason, I don't believe that."

Vanessa shyly smiles, "He's more like a brother. A brother I never had. It would be weird to date a brother, no?" She questions jokingly her eyebrow raised. The boy looks over and heartily chuckles at her.

"Yeah, yeah it would. I guess I'm sorry that I overreacted over nothing," Tobias says weakly shrugging.

"No, it's okay, at least we're good right?"

"Yup, we're good."

After a couple of minutes of comfortable silence, Tobias slams on the breaks and both of them slam into the seats.

"BREAK CHECK," Tobias yells laughing at Vanessa's face.

"Hey! What was that for, that hurt," she says with a slight pout, rubbing the back of her head.

"Nothing, just to break the silence is all."

"Could've done that in a less painful way you know," the girl mumbles.

"Yeah I know, I just thought I could've woken you up a bit more."

"You are definitely something else."

"You love me though."

"Alas, sadly I do," Vanessa sighs out and smiles goofily.

"It's not sad. It's really hard to resist this handsome face anyways," Tobias jokes nudging his elbow into Vanessa's arm.
