The next day the time seemed to slow down towards the end of school. I couldn't wait to get out of there and run to the coffee shop. I couldn't get Frank out of my head all night. I couldn't sleep, so I started painting that bench near the pond. When the last bell finally rang I was very quick to pack my things and run out of the classroom. One boy Jimmy caused me to get a five-minute delay because he wanted to know the difference between oil paint and 'normal paint' - meaning the ugly school paint bought at Walmart. I quickly told him and practically sprinted into the city.

When I got to the coffee shop I bumped into Frank outside for a change. His eyes were closed but he must have opened them at some point to look who was approaching him. I barely got to him within speaking distance when he greeted me.

"Hi, Gerard." He said and smiled into the sun.

"Hi, Frank." I replied. "So, what are you doing outside?" I asked.

"There's no one to serve so I'm getting some vitamin D before the winter." He chuckled and finally opened his gorgeous eyes to look at me. "Everybody's working or they're at school or doing something else than drinking the best coffee in town." He giggled.

"Lucky me. It means you can work extra hard on my coffee." I grinned and he shook his head. He looked at me, once again biting his lip and it was just a split second of thinking before we both went for the kiss. His hands went right to my shoulders and I held his back. The kiss was slow, like the day before, but it lasted longer. Frank moved one of his hands to my cheek and left it there. He stroked the corner of my mouth with his thumb and it was the purest thing ever.

When we pulled away he moved the thumb to my lower lip and pulled it down a little. That gesture felt so normal yet so intimate. If I wasn't aware that we were in the middle of the street I would think we were about to take each other's clothes off and continue kissing and maybe more.

"Let's get you that coffee." Frank smiled and so we went inside. There really was no one and Frank only had about an hour of his shift left. We sat together and talked about movies and music until his co-worker showed up and told him he could go home.

"And what about pizza?" I asked him when we were in the park once again. He was just telling me about him being vegetarian.

"Without meat, sure." He shrugged and toyed with my ring finger. He was touching it with his fingers so lightly it felt like a feather fell on my hand. "It's getting late." He reminded me. He mentioned something about sick mother earlier and that was why we only had limited time together every day.

"Do you want me to walk you?" I asked him just as he was leaning against my side.

"Nah, it's okay." He hummed and I turned the hand he was playing with around. I intertwined our fingers and stroked the back of his hand with my thumb. He exhaled contently and got up. He pulled at my hand so I got up too.

"You know, Frank, I really like you." I told him and stepped closer to him. He looked up at me, smiling dreamily.

"I really like you too, Gerard." His smile widened. I brushed some of his hair behind his ear and leaned down to kiss him. He kissed back right away. It was almost like we were programmed to kiss each other at the same time. Frank pressed himself against me so tightly I thought we were gonna become one body. I held him as tightly as he was clutching my neck and my jacket on my shoulder. We didn't want to let go.

I wanted to take a risk and experiment with a little bit of tongue, but I didn't have to. Frank opened his mouth a little bit wider and I took it as a sign he wanted to deepen the kiss as well. When our tongues finally touched he let out this tiny noise in the back of his throat. It wasn't a moan, not even a whine, more like a sigh but it was telling me he was liking it.

We pulled away and I didn't know about him, but my eyes stayed closed after. He hugged me, wrapping his arms around my waist and I enveloped his shoulders with my arms. He rested his head against my chin and we stayed like that for a while. When it was time for him to finally go home I kissed his forehead and before I knew it, he was gone.

"Yes, Mikey, I'm fine." I told my brother on the phone that evening. "Did I really?" I frowned. Mikey's comic was missing and he thought I had taken it. "Mikes, I didn't have time to unpack yet, can I tell you tomorrow if I have it?" I asked him looking desperately at the boxes lying in the middle of my new living room. "Thanks." He talked about mom and his friends for a while but then he went back to the unpacking thing.

"What do you mean, didn't have time? You've been there for three weeks." He pointed out.

"You know the first two weeks were basically just moving things in and talking with the principal about my new job." I told him and made my way to the kitchen.

"Yeah, and since Monday you've had plenty of time to unpack, unless..." Mikey started laughing.

"His name is Frank, he's a waiter in local coffee shop, okay?" I told him after a long pause.

"I knew it! Tell me more." He begged me.

"He's...gorgeous. He's a little shorter than me, has brown hair almost to his shoulders and I don't know, we have a lot in common." I started and thought back to all the times we've been together.

"Hm, he sounds really cool. How old is he?" Mikey asked.

"I dunno. He's young, like twenty-something." I told him.

"Like what? 28 or what is something?" He laughed.

"Geez, no, like 21 I think." I laughed. "And what the heck, you know I never date people older than me." I reminded my brother of the fact.

"Of course. Well, I gotta go but you'll call me, right?" Mikey asked and I promised to call him and update him on my new relationship later that week.
