Liv's P.O.V
Today was the race, the past few days had been great. Max had been doing ok, in FP1, 2 and 3 he didn't have much trouble and in Qualifying he managed to grab 5th place. So the weekend didn't seem to be going that bad but Dans weekend wasn't as good. His engine failed and yesterday he almost didn't start Qualifying but the mechanics did great to restore his car in such a short time. He ended up qualifying 6th.
We are already at the garage and the boys are on the grid getting ready for the formation lap.
The race started and the cars sped off, Max went up to 3rd place after overtaking Kimi and Lewis. Dan was also busy, trying to keep two Renaults behind him. The pit crew made an incredible double stop with Max and Dan but after that nothing else really happened concerning Dan and Max until the last 20 laps. The Toro Rosso's did make a show of themselves though, Pieres going to get a lecture for that.
The safety car came out after Pierre and Brendens mishap, Max and Dan both rushed into the pits right when it came out. I was biting my nails and on the edge of my seat for most of the race but this safety car just made it more interesting. When the safety car went back in Dan was already on Kimi and he made a sensational overtake. Max made the mistake of being a bit greedy and tried to overtake Lewis which led to him going off track and re-entering almost on top of Dan. I was now on the floor after having fallen of my seat when Max was forced off track, yes I got a few looks for that but it's fine.
Dan made some more unbelievable overtakes on Seb and Valtteri, that left him in the lead with a clear track ahead of him. Max finally managed to overtake Lewis and Sebastian was his next target. Of course Max was being straight forward and impatient, don't get me wrong I love him but he always does it. He ended up crashing into Seb making them both spin out. Max got himself a ten second grid penalty, he also overtook Lewis again so that was a positive, it meant he didn't have to drop back as much and he wouldn't lose as much points.
I'm very happy to say Dan won the race, he looked elated and even gave me his shoe to take care of after the podium. I made my way towards the motorhome to congratulate Max on where he had come and to scald him for making some questionable decisions.
"Hi Max, well done on where you came sweetheart," I congratulated him "but please be more patient and never do that to me every again," I scalded.
"I know they were stupid ideas, but at least we get to celebrate someone in the team," Max said rather happily, him and Dan were good friends so he wasn't annoyed. I wrapped my arms around him and we stood there for a few minutes, I gave him a kiss and walked out because James had just called him for interviews and media stuff. I congratulated Valtteri, Kimi and Lewis and then I went home to the hotel because I didn't know what else to do. We were going out to celebrate later tonight but the boys were busy with work so I had a wonderful power nap.
"Hey come on, you need to get up!" Max shouted and hit me across the head with a pillow "ow!" I squealed and threw the pillow back at him. We wasted no time on closing the distance between us. He always had these specials ways of kissing me and each one was as amazing as the other. Then we were interrupted by the one and only Daniel Ricciardo ringing me. The phone buzzed and I broke away from Max, looked at who it was and began to kiss him again.
"Who was it?" Max asked "Dan," I said. "Ok we can ignore him that's fine," he laughed but Dan wasn't having any of it. "I know you guys are in there, stop kissing and get ready!" Dan screamed, Max was in fits of laughter and I was actually getting ready. I picked out clothes for him and I to wear, then I had a quick shower, let him have one and after that we both got our outfits on.
In Ireland girls would wear fake tan and a load of makeup when going out, but I was never that kind of girl so I just put on foundation, a bit of mascara and some red lipstick. Casual makeup looks are my favourite, because they're easy.
I decide to wear a plain black, cropped long sweater and just leather black trousers. I didn't want to wear anything too fancy because if I got too drunk it would just get dirty. Max wore a white t-shirt, jeans and navy blue jumper that I picked out for him.
We arrived at this VIP club and everyone was there, paparazzi swarmed the place and were snapping pictures of everyone who walked, whether they were famous or not. Max and I got in pretty easily because Gigi Hadid walked in the same time as we did, I didn't even know she was in China.
Drinks, drinks and drinks was how we started the night, to be honest I'm already pretty wasted. There was a karaoke area so a drunk Daniel and I stumbled our way over there to do a cover of You Give Love a bad Name by Bon Jovi. "Shot through the heart and your to blame, darling you give love a bad name!" We dramatically sung in front of some pretty famous people. Rita Ora was there, Lew invited her. She was definetly cringing while Daniel sung his part of the song.
Max dragged me onto the dance floor and we were dancing to Diamonds by Rihanna. We were both embarrassing ourselves but nothing mattered except who was winning the dance competion we were having, Nando was the judge and Stoff was the host, while Dan was the co-host. The rest of that night went by in a blur except for the end of it. James, Max's PR brought us home and took a few pictures of Max and I sprawled on the floor of our hotel room, I put it up on instagram too.

And this is the Chinese GP chapter, I'm absolutely bursting with joy myself. Daniel did an amazing job this week and I hope RedBull can keep the car in good shape so the boys can race like this every GP.
