CHAPTER 4

A woman dressed in a white evening dress showed up. She was so beautiful. She shined like a Goddess. I remember that just her smile could make me happy. She was my adopter.

When I reached her house, oh sorry, I meant mansion, I met two boys almost my age. I wasn’t a teen so the hormones hadn’t kicked yet. But I could see the difference between ugly and beautiful and these two boys were beautiful. Yes, ten, and they already looked like models.

“Hi, what did she name you?" the boy with soft green eyes asked,

I noticed his unfamiliar way of talking.

“Tegan. Are you both her real children?” There was no doubt that the beautiful woman aka my adopter could give birth to these handsome kids.

“Nah we’re adopted too but not your adopter, we both are adopted by different single parents,” he smiled this time, “I’m named Will and he’s Ace.”

I smiled too. But so rude of Ace to not even say hi.

Jay had the best entry I guess. He was 15 and we found him kissing a girl much older and taller than him. After the kiss was over, the girl looked like she could still take some more. Sheesh.

But Jay had other plans. He saw us and made up an excuse to the girl. She looked disappointed. Sheesh again.

“Hello kiddos! Glad I finally get to meet you,”Jay said with a half grin.

Why was a good-looking older guy talking to a bunch of 10-11 year olds? Also after leaving some cute girl behind.

“Do we know you, sir?” Will said. Yes Jay had that affect. The effect which made him look older than his age.

“I don’t think so but we all stay in the same house so you ought to,” Jay replied casually.

We do? I thought. So let me get this straight. I live with three guys in the same house but with different single parents?

I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t relieved or even excited. If I would marry one of the boys someday I won’t be creeped out by the fact that we are supposedly brothers and sisters.

Okay yes! I wanted to marry one of them already okay? Kill me.

The cute girl who was kissing Jay showed up. Gosh sticky cougar. Okay cougar is not valid. But it is.

“Oh hi Peach.” Jay said with a forced smile. We all could see it so clearly. But she could not. I figured she was dumb enough for that.

She smiled her pink lipstick-smudged smile.

“Guys this is Peach and Peach these are…..” Jay started off. Oh yes I almost forgot he doesn’t know our name. I rolled my eyes.

Before we had an awkward moment, I said my name and Will said his’ and Ace’s. Not that she would notice the awkward moment. She seemeed really stupid and doe-eyed, really.

Jayden repeated the names.
