Hey, the author here this is the first chapter of Spider-Man the newest Avenger. So timelines, this is after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Qwen is dead, but Peter has returned as our beloved web-slinger. This is after Age of Ultron and I might through in Civil War, but probably not. More than half of this who read this book will read this message, so it will be explained in the story. For those that read this Peter Parker is none other than the fabulous Andrew Garfield.

Fury sat in a conference room at SHIELD HQ. The meeting he had called for started in 20 minutes, but he had to re-read his notes and make sure he got everything. This meeting was going to be very important and very amusing he could feel it. With recent events, Fury wanted to take some extra measures to protect the Earth and its inhabitants. Though he has to wonder, why was the Earth a hotbed for trouble?

About ten minutes until the meeting started Natasha and Clint arrived, they usually traveled together, mostly so Natasha could keep Clint in check. Two minutes from their arrival Dr.Banner and Steve arrived, then Wanda and Vision, then Thor. And twenty minutes into when the meeting was to start the famous Tony Stark arrived.

Tony took a seat trying to ignore all of the evil glares he was receiving from everyone. But none rivaled Fury's, he radiated anger. As his eyes had been trained on the ground Tony hesitantly looked up.

"What's up eyepatch?" Tony said, arrogance and dripping from his voice.

"What is up, is you are 20 minutes late to an extremely important meeting! Did I not clear how important this was? And what was so important that you even had to be this late?" Fury yelled, everyone saw a vein pop on his forehead, they were looking forward to Tony's punishment.

"Eh-hem." Tony cleared his throat, "You did specify how urgent this was and I was so late due to bad traffic." Tony's lie was awful, they could see his suit bracelets and they all saw him land through the window.

"Why do I even bother?"Fury stated holding the bridge of his nose. Not a single person dared utter a word, none wanted to be on Fury's bad side at the moment.

"As I may be so blunt, sir." Steve said nervously, "But why did you call us here?" Confidence returning to his voice.

"Right, once again well-done Avengers for defeating Ultron. But picture this, Ultron comes back and he is attacking Australia while on the other side of the globe he sent an army to Canada. Who would protect the people? It took the entire team and some new members to defeat Ultron. And with Peter Maximoffs death I also wondered, what if Steve or Tony was killed in Battle? We need replacements and new teammates." Fury announced.

"You make a good point, sir. Who are our teammates?" Natasha asked.

"This is where the fun part comes in, you are selecting and recruiting your new teammates, you will be fighting with them so you get to pick them." Fury said this was followed by a series of groans and sighs. "There are some rules in this competition, working together is allowed if you get more than one your chances of winning are increased if the new recruit tries to resist and you feel they will make a great asset to the team force may be used. The deadline is in two weeks, Banner and Vision you are out of the competition. The prize is a surprise, and trust me it's good." Everyone in the room nodded already having an idea of who they wanted to pick. Bruce sighed in relief that he didn't have to participate, and Vision felt nothing on the matter.

With a quick nod in everyone's direction, the Avengers set off on their new mission.

Back at Avengers HQ or Avengers Tower

"Have anyone in mind, Cap?" Tony asked as the team exited the elevator.

"A couple, you Tony?" Steve countered.
