PeterI felt myself cry, I felt myself scream, and I felt myself die.
Her body lay lifeless in my arms, her eyes rolled back into her head, and she went cold. Colder than the floor I held her on, and colder than the air around us.
I looked at her face and I quickly looked away I had done this.
A sickening crack sounded around the bell tower. I looked at her, her head snapped back into place. She stood up and as her eyes locked with mine they only held hate.
As though they had been there the entire time Uncle Ben and Captain Stacy came out of the shadows. They all looked at me with hatred and disappointment.
"You did this Peter." They all said in unity. Stacy and Ben gesturing to their visible wounds.
"I trusted you, Peter," Gwen said.
"You broke your promise," Stacy said.
"I cared for you and this is how you repay me?" Ben said. They continued to say things like this over and over again. In the past I had fought them tried to say their accusations were false. But now I just accepted it. They were right, why did I ever try to play hero?
I sat through this until I woke up. I looked around to whom I owed a thank you for saving me. My trusty alarm clock. This was the 7th alarm clock in a month. There were a lot of days I didn't want to get up.
As I got up I received an undeserved dizzy spell. Stumbling my way to the bathroom, I started to get ready. I had my powers under control big time now so I didn't have to worry about breaking anything anymore. Though admittedly I still stuck to the various clothes and papers scattered around the room when I walked on top of them.
I checked my phone and saw what Jameson wanted me to do. Once I returned as Spiderman I realized I needed a summer job before I went to college. So I got one at the Daily Bugle, while I mostly take pictures of myself, Spiderman, I also take pictures of scenarios, people, tourist attractions, and even art. Anything that isn't myself is the best.
The text reads 'Hey Peter! Can you snap some pics. of Lady Liberty? It's for a New York City attractions article. Thanks! Love, Grace.' Grace is Jameson's secretary, she is way cuter and ten times nicer than him.
I started to get dressed in a white t-shirt some jeans and a hoody. Flying down the stairs I took a quick glance at the note Aunt May left, she would be home at 6. And I was on my way. Speeding down the sidewalk to the subway. I figured I would take a subway to a ferry dock and take one to Elis Island.
The ride wasn't so bad, aside from the smell of the subway and the seasick tourists it was actually relaxing. I walked around the island till I got the perfect shot. Even after I had gotten the right one I figured I would explore, I paid to take a ferry here.
I looked up at the giant statue. On her crown and throughout her head, with advanced vision, I could see all the wholes and pieces the X-men had taken out of her head. It was a couple of years ago since the X-men saved the Earth. It was a shame that mutants got so much crap. Then I thought, Am I a mutant? Well technically I'm not, but would I be considered one? I guess I could be considered one.
I know that many of them have the power to read minds. If that was the case a mutant could find out my identity in a split second and I wouldn't even know it. I tried to rid my mind of these thoughts.
As I continued to walk around I soon realized it was a waste to come here. There was nothing to do and I had already taken the pictures. I could always just go to the museum or something, but that sounded even more boring.
