Scene 4

A/N : Oh my God. I misread a ff. It hurts so bad.. (ToT) Why oh why I read that? *sniffs* Note to self, if there's already warning signs and the bell already ringing inside my head.. abort!!

Anyway, because of that, I intend to finish this chapter. Lol

Starting this chapter, you might notice some of the dialogue from "I Choose You" ^^

Kiet is a sullen guy, a man with few words. He likes to be alone and an introvert. He was a guitarist and keyboardist in his band, and also the main composer. He was a womanizer, sleeps around with girls but actually bi. On the outside, he looks apathetic and aloof, but he is actually quite a romantic. He was an orphan, and his best friend, Jay, and his parents took him in. Because of that, he will give anything for his best friend.

This character was a challenge Sing needs to make a comeback. Not that he really wants to be in the spotlight again.. sometimes he thinks it will be easier to be behind the lens.. but he has responsibility.

So he tried his best to get the role. Once he contacted them, they said the writer likes him very much he was guaranteed to get it, without screen testing. Now he only had to graduate as soon as possible, because there will be script reading, workshop, photoshoot, and everything else. He has to be ready.

The day the cast will met for the first time is the day after he defended his thesis and was told that he succeeds, finally able to graduate. He can't contain his excitement and happiness. He almost can't sleep because of that.

Today, he was too giddy to properly sit in the car that P' Jane rolled his eyes. "Calm down, Sing.."

"I know.. it's just, I can feel that this movie will be great. And I can't help myself." Sing whined. He tried distracting himself by playing with the radio, watching the scenery, and even playing games! None of it is successful.

"Then.. why don't you tell me about your character or the movie? Maybe it will calm you down." His manager suggested. Sing smiled, thinking that it would be a good idea.

"I think people might be in disbelief when Jay told everyone that Kiet is bi and doesn't have any feeling to him." He started.

"Why is that?"

Sing drummed his fingers to his thighs, thinking. "They are too close. But I think it's because Kiet believe that Jay is some kind of his lifeline. Anyway, I think Kiet loves another man."

P' Jane hummed. "Who? Do you mean his ex?"

"No." Sing shook his head and grinned. "I think it's Kim, Jay's love rival."

"Whaat?" P' Jane looks at him in disbelief. Thankfully it's the red light, so the car already stopped. Sing laughed at his manager's expression.

"Yeah. I think so. There are a few scenes that makes me think like that. I think the audience would recognize it as such too." Sing ponders about the possibility. Maybe he had to get closer not only to Jay's actor but also Kim's.

"Really?" P' Jane still look unsure. Sing could only chuckled.

"We'll see, Phi. Oh, look. It's already green."

He was one of the firsts to come. P' Jane and he introduced themselves to everyone inside the room. There's NonKul, who would be Gun the drummer, P' Tomo who plays as Cho the bassist, and P' Ploy who would be Jane the owner of the live house. Sing could feel his face reddened, a bit shy and awkward because they will play together as.. sex friend. Right. They also have to do a believable act about it.

"Aw Nong~ you're so cute.." P' Ploy pinched his cheek and he could only smile sheepishly, fixing the length of his sleeve in discreet. They chatted for a little bit and agreed to have a private meeting to practice and discuss about their scene.

Time passed and he found himself talking easily with Non, sharing tips about exercising and eating healthy to build muscle. Sometimes P' Tomo would also put his thought about it and then they would discuss it hotly until they reach an agreement. Suddenly, the door opened, revealing the leading actors. He saw P' Mike, P' Aom, and.. Krist?!

..why is he here?

There's nothing that would indicate that his junior would be in the cast. For one thing, P' Jane won't shut up about it if he knew.

It was awkward, at least for Sing. Fortunately, the script reading immediately commenced. He sits beside P' Mike who would play as Jay, while Krist is beside P' Aom.

..it means.. Krist will play as Kimhan, the love rival.

Well.

Shit.

"-Her name is Rose, okay? She will come and watch us practice today." P' Mike's voice seems to be on point.

"Enough already, Jay.. you said it how many times today.." the way Non groaned is also good, portraying Gun clearly.

"She said she would bring a friend. Most probably Kim.." P' Mike mumbles the last sentence, clearly indicate his displeasure.

It's Sing's turn now. "Alright, alright. We better start now so you would lose your nerve a bit, Jay."

He thinks it's alright voicing it out like this. The dialogue continues to move forward. It seems everything would be fine. There's nothing to worry about..

"Ah. Now, can Singto and Krist enact the scene after the fight?" the producer asked after P' Mike and P' Aom effortlessly went through their scene. Sing gulped, but nodded. In the corner of his eyes, he saw P' Jane's eyes twinkling madly, so sure they can pull it off.

Sing took a deep breath, calming his nerves.

You can do it.. you can do it..

"You don't have to do that." He said gruffly, swatting an imagined hand that tried to dab on his imaginary wound.

God. This is harder than when they read Jane and him doing sexy scene..

"It's still bleeding.." Krist said softly, making Sing shivered. He had to remind himself that this is just script reading.

Again, sing took a deep breath and sighed. "Fine. Be careful, okay." After that, he paused a little bit before continuing. "Na, Kim."

"Hm?"

"If there's another time like this, or when you're alone, just run, okay." Here, he raised his head to stare at Krist who sits across him, pursing his lips.

"Don't try to be a man or something. After all, if it's like before, there might not be me or anyone else to help you."

Finally. Finally the script reading is over. There are many things that need revision or better understanding, but overall, it's okay in Sing's opinion. He was just talking with Non when Krist approached them.

"Phi." He calls Sing.

Ba-thump. Sing held his breath.

"Krist." he nodded, putting a blank face.

"Do you want to go-"

"Non and I will hit the gym after this." Sing cuts him off, smiling apologizingly.

"Oh.." looking how dispirited Krist is, Sing wants to blurt out his cancelation. But.. he still can't face the younger man.

"Sorry, Krist. Non, let's go." He dragged a puzzled looking Non with him, leaving a dejected figure of Krist behind.

A/N : Non in this ff is Chanon who plays P' Earth in "Bangrak Soi 9/1" and Bank in "Bad Genius", P' Ploy plays as Wenny in "Love Bipolar".

Oh. Kimhan means 'summer'. At least, that's what google says. ^^
