Trischia's pov
The surgery went great. However we had to stay in L.A. for a week so that they could have me under surveillance for a few days. And then we couldn't go back because of bad weather, staying for a few days would have been great, if we could actually go outside and explore. But the weather just wasn't cooperating. We had a good time at the hotel though, I slept alot, and we watched a few movies. We played some more shogi, Seijuro always won, which frustrated me to great lengths.
It was great to have my voice back, even though it was still a bit weak. But the doctors said that it would grow stronger again the more I used it. I was told I had been very lucky to recover since it had been such a close call. If I had as much as tried to scream once, it would have been impossible to fix. The doctors told me that the reason to why I was sleeping so much was probably because of being exposed to such a stressful environment for so long. Resulting in my body trying to catch up on the sleep it had been denied, now that I knew I was safe.
I slept almost the entire flight back to Japan as well, but managed to stay awake the entire ride back from the airport and to Seijuro's house. Or should I say mansion? I gaped at the massive building, I was going to get lost in there, that much was for sure.
"You seriously live here?" I eventually managed to press forward completely mind blown at the size and beauty of the impressive building.
"We live here" The redhead corrected me while pressuring the first word. I nodded but struggled to come to terms with it.
"How many rooms?" I questioned and he chuckled, wrapping his arm around my waist comfortably.
"Around a hundred. We don't use even half of them though" I eventually managed to turn my head and look at him.
"You're joking?!" I blurted out in shock, Seijuro shook his head with a serious expression before starting to pull me towards the entrance.
"Come on, I'll show you around" He said and I couldn't help but to stagger slightly. There was a butler standing by the door, he smiled at us as he opened the door. As we stepped inside I saw two lines of maids standing in the hallway, they were all dressed in the traditional white and black uniform. They all bowed.
"Okaerinasai, master. Okaerinasai mistress" They all echoed at the same time and I couldn't help but stare.
"This is too much..." I mumbled beneath my breath.
"You'll have to get used to it" Seijuro grumbled pulling me forward.
"Tadaima" He said with a raised voice as we walked. They all straightened their backs smiling at us. It was a bit unsettling actually. The entrance hall was large, with a wide staircase decending just ahead of the entrance door. There were a wide set of double doors on each side of the hall, one of the doors were left open and from what I could tell as we passed it looked like the dining room. The doors on the other side was closed. Seijuro led me up the staircase and to the right, thus leaving all the maids behind. What looked to be pictures of family members lined the walls. The hallways were brightly lit but mostly empty. Despite the fact that we had been walking for a couple of minutes, we hadn't ran into a single person.
"Is there anyone except you and your father living here?" I questioned eventually to break the strange silence that had occured. Seijuro hummed while carressing the small of my back with his left hand.
"Well, there's you... And then there is the maids living in the first floor, I'll show you later so you'll know where to go if there's to be an urgent problem. Some of the butlers live here, and of course the chef" He replied in a bored tone, I nodded before I furrowed my eyebrows.
