Trischia's POV

"What's the name of Japans first prime minister?" Seijuro asked in a monotone voice, his eyes resting on the book in front of him. I played on the guitar in my lap, listening to the sound as I tuned the instrument.

"Hirobumi Ito" I replied in a bored tone, repeating the same movement again as he nodded affirmingly at my answer.

"Good. What year was he elected?" A breeze came brushing against my skin as a sigh escaped me.

"1885" The redhead nodded again affirmingly while I reached for the can of soda on the table. It was early Saturday morning and I was having a hard time putting my mind to studying for the test on monday. Weekends were supposed to be spent relaxing. Regardless Seijuro had immideately started quizzing me as soon as we finished breakfast. Why couldn't we just enjoy the last of the warm autumn weather? Finally satisfied with the sound of the guitar, I hummed while playing a soft tune. I could feel Seijuro's disapproving gaze on me as my focus turned away from his questions completely.

"You should study more seriously. History isn't your strongest subject, and this test is important" I sighed again while turning to look at him.

"I can study tonight when the sun's down. It's Saturday, doesn't that warrant some off time? I study all afternoon on the weekdays" It seemed like my plea fell to deaf ears as he simply turned back to the book without acknowledging my arguments.

"In what year-" His question got interrupted as Rin stepped out of one of the large glass doors, temporarily saving me from the dreary subject as we both turned to watch her. She approached us steadily and bowed deeply before talking.

"I apologise for the intrusion. But the master requests your immideate presence, my lady" I blinked at her surprised. Seijuro's father had been away for more than two months. He'd departed only a few days after I'd been assaulted.

"He's here?" Rin nodded her head affirmingly, even Seijuro seemed surprised.

"Yes, he arrived late last night" I nodded as I put the guitar on the stand I'd brought with me out to the balcony and stood up while straightening the dress I was wearing. Trying and failing to hide my wince as my sore muscles protested at the movement. I still hadn't healed fully from my last clash with Tora. My gaze went back to Seijuro, slightly triumphant that I'd found a way to escape the studies for a moment.

"I guess it'd be bad to keep him waiting then" He nodded briefly as I turned to follow the maid.

"Wait" He stood from his own chair, reaching over to where I'd been sitting to grab my cardigan that was thrown over the back of the chair. I gave him a questioning look as he walked over holding it out for me to put on. I was temporarily dazzled by how handsome he was.

"Father would tilt if he saw those wounds" He kept his voice down so the maid wouldn't hear and I nodded appreciatingly while he helped me put it on, effectively covering the healing injuries on my back. Akashi- san had immediately regected the propositon to use me as bait, and would likely explode if he found out I'd done it anyway. I smiled at Seijuro affectionately before turning back to Rin

I spent the walk to the office talking to Rin, the two of us was starting to get along quite nicely. As we closed in on the office I couldn't help but wonder why I'd been called. Had I done something wrong? Aside from drectly ignoring his decision regarding Tora's capture that is... I'd bent over backwards ever since I got here to meet his expectations for me... What if that wasn't enough and I was sent away? My heart leapt in my chest at the thought, just as we arrived and Rin knocked on the door before entering and bowing deeply.

"I've brought her as you requested, my lord" The exaggerated politeness made me roll my eyes behind her back with a silent sigh.

"Good, you're dismissed" She bowed deeply again before stepping to the side to let me pass. I straightened my posture before stepping inside, remembering that he'd commented on my slouching back the last time I met him.
