Shizuko's POV
"Tokyo?" I tilted my head to the side while adjusting my grip on the brown paper bag containing our groceries. I'd ran into Yuuki coincidentally just as I'd exited the store. The brown haired girl nodded while fumbling around in her school bag, obviously looking for something.
"Yes, apparently its an excrusion of some kind. I think we're going to a museum or something... Here..." I accepted the paper she handed me a bit awkwardly, making an effort to try and not drop the groceries in the process. I rested the weight of the bag on one arm as well as my chest while I held up the paper.
I hadn't been to school in a few days after my last beating, and was just starting to feel well enough to go outside again. This was my first trip out of the house to test my strength. It was a short walk down to the grocery store just outside of my neighborhood. My eyes grazed the paper briefly.
First destination - Shinjuku Historical Museum. 09.00 - 13.00
Second destination - Samurai Museum 09.00-13.00
I frowned at the text in confusion.
"So, what? We need to choose which one we want to go to?" My eyes returned to Yuuki and she shook her head in dismissal.
"No it's a two day period. We're going on monday" That didn't bode well for neither my health or my attendance record.... My frown deepened and I stared at the paper again.
"Is it obligatory?"
"Yes" I sighed in dissappointment while looking at my classmate again. She seemed to be studying the cut on my forehead diligently when I chaught her stare. She didn't flinch at all as I chaught her prying stare and I decided to not comment on it either. I waved the paper slightly while I spoke.
"Can I take this home and show it to my dad?" She nodded and smiled at my request.
"Of course! I already told my parents about it" I smiled in appreciation. Maybe at least with this I'd have a better chance at being allowed to go.
"Great, thank you!" She shook her head and then lifted her hand as if she remembered something.
"We're supposed to be sharing rooms in pairs, so I asked to stay with you, I hope that's okay?" I chuckled and nodded.
"Actually I appreciate the sentiment. I don't really know anyone from class except you" She looked at me in confusion and blinked a bit.
"You know Akashi-kun though? I haven't seen the two of you hanging out lately, did something happen after you guys kissed?" My cheeks heated immediately as she brought it up and I shushed her.
"Can you not shout that out for the entire world to hear?!" I hissed while leaning towards her, she chuckled at me teasingly and I made a face.
"We're not speaking at the moment" I growled and she looked at me confused.
"Why not?" I immediately felt like this wasn't a good subject to move into and I grew resigned.
"It's complicated, I don't want to talk about it" I could tell I'd only enticed her curiosity further but I cleared my throat and stepped past her, intending to cut the conversation short.
"I better get back home, I'm worried my dad might think of wandering into the kitchen and destroying the place..." Yuuki chuckled at me and nodded with a grin.
"Yeah, don't worry. I can interrogate you while we're in Tokyo instead" I pursed my lips at her in frustration as she saw through my evasive manouver.
