Harry ran faster than he had in a long while. He ran a solid 8mph pace for an hour and found himself near Meghan's neighbourhood and decided to drop by and check up with her. He had a newfound energy with how he stood up to Charmay and how well people had taken to Meghan last night. He even had reached out to someone else besides Will to tell the details of how much he liked Meghan. That was something he had only done once before. He couldn't help but think that his mother would be proud with his actions and the expression of the parts of him he valued most regardless of anyone else's thoughts.
"What are you doing here this early?"
Harry slid through Meghan's door with a grin on his face. It had only been a few hours since the big dinner but he just wanted to see her again.
Meghan drew the conclusion from his body coated in sweat that he had been on a run. It was unfair to her how even with the extra coat of sweat, it managed to somehow make him look even more handsome especially this early in the morning. His arm muscles were pumping with blood and he had a wide grin on his face as he gave her a sloppy kiss.
"Have you eaten yet?" He asked standing back so she wouldn't catch to much of his smell.
"Well no but-"
"Then get ready and we can go out. You look so cute by the way."
"Nooo Harry, no I don't" Meghan groaned trying to cover her face with the blanket wrapped around her.
"Yes, yes you dooo." Harry reached and pulled down Meghan's hand and went in for a kiss that Meghan tried to avoid.
"Um I'm still pretty tired. It was a long night yesterday. How do you even have this much energy Harry?" Meghan inquired, diverting Harry from kissing her further.
"A sense of renewal from last night you could say."
"How are we even compatible. We are so opposite! I'm drained still."
Harry sensed that there was no getting Meghan out of the house. So he would have to bring the food to her.
"Okay how about I go out and get us some food, and then I take you out and we can do what ever you want. We can go shopping or anything."
"No I wouldn't want anyone thinking I'm with you for your money." Meghan mumbled quietly.
"Love, I know that. I just want to give you the best. You deserve it for being so great last night. Sorry for letting you go home alone last night but I had to stay so thanks for understanding. I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend and couldn't be more proud."
"But what if I had of screwed up my speech or said something I shouldn't have? Do you think you'd be as proud?" Meghan let out.
"Where is this coming from?" Harry raised his eye brows and placed his hand on her far shoulder as they sat on the couch. His arm was luckily long enough to stretch across the distance Meghan had put between them.
"Nothing. I just hope I never embarrass you."
"You would never. And if you did, I'd just do something equally embarrassing to balance it out." He smiled, cheering her up.
"I doubt anything you do would be considered embarrassing. If anything, everyone would think it's revolutionary." She chuckled to herself sitting cross legged and her fluffy blanket around her.
"Well if you really want I can just let you be today. Sorry, I didn't ask before coming over. I get that you're tired. I get tired sometimes too." Meghan raised her brows at that because it seemed he never ran out of energy. "Not often but sometimes."
"Like when?"
"After a day packed with long meetings that are back to back. Anything with long meetings where I have to engage in intense politics and finances. I don't mind financial things, but politics can get to be a bit heated. I'm just passionate about other things which is why when I'm doing the charity things with you I find it to be much more relaxing."
Meghan nodded because she could completely understand. Being at that dinner yesterday energized her when ever she spoke to other charity workers, but then drained her when she had to speak to any one of status. But when she had found out that the couple she was speaking to and having a great easy flowing conversation about their projects in Botswana and realized that they were Harry's father's cousins, she realized that maybe not all of the royals were like how she imagined Charmay was secretly inside. Some of them surely just were born into this life and made the best they could out of it, which she admired in Harry especially.
Harry softly motioned his thumb across Meghan's, feeling that she wanted to be alone. It felt weird, not having her be as playful as she normally was. Would inviting her to come as his date to future events also drain her? He worried himself in his mind as he said goodbye to Meghan.
***
The next three days Meghan avoided Harry's calls and reverted to only text. It was easier to control her responses this way.
I've got a lot going on at work today and then I've got to help Sophie with preparing for her presentation. Sorry. We'll get together soon enough. - M
Okay, how about 6pm on Friday I'll come over and we can just eat in and I'll give you a massage from a long hard week? My treat free of charge ;) - H
Meghan couldn't hold out on avoiding Harry any longer. He had now given her 5 days total till Friday to sit with her thoughts. She missed him but she still was hesitant to go too fast with their relationship in fear that it would just end too fast. The reason that it would end being that Harry would realize she wouldn't be the perfect example talking about the right politics and social events that would support Harry, asides from charity work of course.
It's a date then -M Meghan texted hastily. Who could turn down a date anyways. And they wouldn't have to leave her flat at least.

Seriously, thanks for reading and following along thus far! This by no means is the best kind of writing I am capable of, I'm more so just using this story as one where I can get used to writing this much and writing a whole story this long. So I will be creating more stories soon into the future and I hope you want to read those even though they may not be Meghan and Prince Harry related. And I want them to be superb! So thanks for being such great readers and bearing with me as I just try and do a brain dump. I don't love writing in the third person so my future books will not be as such. But it's been a cool way to start writing though, that's for sure! It's been a good challenge to continue to write each week (trying to anyways) and just has shown me that I am capable of finishing a story unlike in the past... Only great things to come in the future and I'm glad I'm getting this experience :) You play an essential role in making this happen for me and giving me this experience, so thank you once again. And if you read this, you're an all star!!!
