Chapter 16

You jumped as you woke up with a cold sweat. It was completely dark, so you couldn't see anything in the room you were in, but you could tell you were still in Peter's hammock. You slowly swayed side to side, feeling Peter's arms around you.

You could hear a quiet groan as Peter shifted slightly, holding onto you tighter. "Hmmm?... Y/N? What is it?" You tried to look at him despite not being able to see.

"Ah, n-nothing..." You felt Peter's hand touch your cheek as you spoke. "Baby, don't lie to me. Did you have a bad dream?"

You didn't say anything, but nodded slightly. "Do you want to tell me about it?" Peter's hand ran through your hair. You shivered and shook your head, but Peter didn't seem to be asking. 

"Y/N~" He said your name in a sing song voice. "Won't you tell me what your dream was about? You might feel better." You sighed and decided to tell him, though you weren't sure if it would upset him or not.

"It was about that time on the ship. When you killed Captain Hook. I kept thinking about Mr. Smee. He looked so sad when he saw Hook... I wonder if he's okay?.." You looked up at Peter. "Do you think he's okay?"

You weren't exactly sure that it was a good idea to look him in the face and ask that after seeing the look on his face. His face was red and he looked annoyed, but also worried. 

"Y/N, stop thinking about that. I thought you forgave me?" You shook your head quickly. "T-That's not what i meant! I just meant that I felt bad for Smee. It doesn't matter anyways. I can't help what I dream about." 

You looked away and pouted, not wanting to look at Peter anymore. You could feel him staring at you until he pushed you against his chest. "Just go back to sleep baby. Sweet dreams."

You nodded and closed your eyes. Peter was starting to seem more like the parent now, and you felt like a scared little kid looking for comfort. Of course you wouldn't tell him that. He didn't need a boost to his ego.
