Chapter 36

I just thought the music went along with what was happening for the new episode. Too bad it's the second to last episode already.

<Zach's pov>
Me and the pack we're on the first line as defense and offense. We had bullet proof vests and our objective was to stop Augusto and nothing else.

I was just happy that we we're gonna see our friends again. I released my claws I finally had control over them. Or more of I have so many uncontrolled emotions.

I personally wanted to kill him but I knew I couldn't. Taylen made sure I was calm enough to not loose my temper though.

Jason gave the command to go and we ran in busting the door. What I saw was shocking. Griffin, Izzy, and Raven we're pale with bags under their eyes. From here they looked dead and we ran over too Augusto.

"Stop what you are doing! You are under arrest by the U.S government!" Yelled Jason and Augusto turned around after injecting something into himself.

"I'm gonna be stronger then your stupid government ever will be!" He yelled but passed out.

The extraction crew did there job when all of a sudden Augusto got up and had grown horns? He picked up a gun next to him. Nikky and Jason did there best to stop him.

One mistake though. This would affect us all and most of all it will hurt. Leroy was shot protecting Raven, Will, and Taylen.

Filled with rage I gave him no mercy and neither did he. We fought and I felt my claws going deep into his skin. He also rammed me with his horns but I didn't care.

I eventually had him unconscious on the floor with a pool of blood around him. I was about to do the finishing blow but Jason stopped me.

"Zach you can not do that. What you did is enough now go help your friends to save Leroy until the ambulance comes!" He pushed me towards them and I retracted my claws.

I ran over and sat next to Taylen. We tried putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding but I knew he wasn't gonna make it. If he was gonna have a chance he needed a medical team right away.

Why didn't we think of bringing a medical team? Why didn't we give them our bullet proof vests instead? We the wolf pack and Jason could've taken the bullet.

But them they weren't trained. They weren't prepared to risking their lives in order to save everyone else. Everything was going by a blur all I knew was that I had Taylen in my arms crying.

We we're at the hospital now. We we're all anxiously waiting for the results of what had happened to Izzy, Raven, Griffin, and more importantly Leroy. They had called there parents already to tell them that they were ok but nobody said anything about Leroy yet.

Everyone was hoping that he'd be ok. We shouldn't have another hero who died who we knew. Bruno was bad enough as it was but now this! I kept getting angry at myself and the world.

The doctor soon came to tell us the results and they weren't good or bad.

"Raven, Izzy, and Griffin will be ok they just need rest and eat food and they'll make a quick recovery," said the doctor.

"What about our cousin! Is he ok?! Please tell us he made it!!" Taylen was crying and her head was down. We both held hands as tightly as possible.

"I'm sorry... We tried everything we could but he died as soon as he got here. We tried our best getting his puls-" his speech was interrupted by Taylen's scream of sorrow.

Taylen wanted to see Raven but she wasn't awake yet. So we went back to the dorms to break the news to everyone. Taylen needed to pack a few things so she went to her room.

When she took a while to come back down I grew worried. I was still on edge after anything. Anytime some lunatic could steal any of us away and life isn't always fair.

I walked into her room and what I saw shocked me. Taylen stood there with scissors and hair all over the floor. Tears were flowing down her cheeks.

"I wasn't fast enough Z-zach!" She ran into my arms for comfort.

"There wasn't anything we could do Tay there wasn't anything you could do." I rubbed her back.

"If we we're just a little faster then Leroy wouldn't have had to take the bullet for us!" She was getting more and more depressed.

"Zach sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough. I wasn't good enough for Jason, I wasn't good enough for my dad!" Something snapped when she said that.

"Babe you are good enough for me. I love you our kids love you and I'll never stop loving you." I pushed back the hair she had near her eyes.

"I love you too Zach." She said and we kissed.

Oof that took a while to write. The kiss at the end wasn't worth the death of Leroy though ;-;. When Glenwood Prep I will probably write them either in college or as adults. As always thanks for reading byeeeeeeeee!!
