Chapter 34

<Will's pov>
I shouldn't be happy... but I was! Ryder came for his break to come comfort me.

We've been cuddling and telling each other stories of school so far. And apparently some girl in college tried flirting with him...

"Hey Ryder?" I asked still in his arms.

"Yeah babe?" He was gently touching my wings.

"You know we can break up if you wanna be with someone over at your college..." It hurt saying it but I meant it.

He probably thought I was because he chuckled. When I didn't say anything he turned me around and looked at me.

"Wait you were serious?" He asked.

"Yes I am serious Ryder if you want to have a closer relationship then I understand..."

"Will," we were now facing each other laying on the grass.

"I love you no matter what and I don't want anybody else just because were far apart. We can make this work ok?" It sounded like the truth so I believed him.

We stayed like that for a while and it felt nice to feel safe. To know someome cares about me in this way.

Before I would've said love is stupid and not necessary for human function. Now I understand why people love.

While some people do love each other. Others love one another for comfort. That's what I feel at least.

I wanna know that everything is gonna be ok. That we'll get through this together and that I'm not alone.

On that note me and Taylen have been trying to cheer up Leroy. While Zach and the babies tried helping Finn.

So far we've been unsuccessful. Leroy is even tougher to crack a smile with.

Finn at least tries to pretend that he's ok. But that's a problem because then we don't know if he's happy or not.

Damn how come these things keep happening to us? I feel like the whole world is against us sometimes.

First Bruno was killed in a robbery. Then Taylen almost lost her memories.

Now 3 of our close friends have been captured by some Italian guy. I started crying.

"Aww Will don't cry," he kissed me and I kissed back.

I somewhat calmed down but I was no longer really interested in talking. So I stayed silent and fell asleep.
