"Rio!!!" I shouted and lifted my arms in the air with a grin. "You said that at home when we were packing and at the airport" noted Kyoya. He was right. I had been looking forward to this trip since Tatori told me about it and now we had arrived. Lani (now eight years old) had been buzzing with impatience on the plane. "I know but I was only seven when I came here the first time...." I smiled. So we followed the crowd of tourists to the city.
"What are we gonna do here?" asked Lani. "Everything" I muttered in answer. We got a ride to where we were staying. Apart from relaxing at the beach, I had stuff to do here. A meeting to attend, a brochure to start. I only had a week. I planned to spend at least ONE day at least ONE beach. I set my stuff down on the bed of the tidy condo. "Lani, baby, you wouldn't mind hanging the beach towel in the closet, we're not using it just yet." I asked the midget. She put a thumbs up and did as she was told. Kyoya showed me a picture the guys had sent him a while ago.
"Hilarious" I muttered. The twins were making smoochy faces and holding each others hands. Tamaki held a paper heart above them. It read, "Dont get TOO romantic eh? Keep it PG for the little squirt." I rolled my eyes but Kyoya smirked, "Its too bad it has to be kept PG." he sighed in mock sadness. He put his arm around me. "Done mommy!" Lani shouted as she came in. Kyoya quickly took off his arm. I laughed at him, "Alright good job. Both of you." I congratulated.

I woke Lani up that morning so we could make some pancakes so Kyoya and her could eat while I went to my meeting. The kitchen was small and cute yet it supplied us with everything we needed. "Mommy I can't reach the mix!" Lani panted in adorable frustration. I lifted her off the stool and put her on the ground as I reached for it myself. I handed it to her. "Yesss!!!" she exclaimed. "Shhh, daddy's still sleeping." I scolded. Lani dropped the mix and held both hands to her mouth. I smiled and picked up the pancake mix.
With the help of the stool, Lani helped me make the batter. We dropped some chocolate chips on in it then I heated up the stove. I put the pan on the stove just as Kyoya came out of his room on his sweatpants and shirtless [me gusta] and tiredly scratched his head.
"What are you guys making?" he asked. "Pancakes" Lani answered and handed him a chocolate chip. He smiled at it and ate. A few silent minutes went by until he asked, "What did I just eat?" I snickered, "A chocolate chip- Kyoya go get your glasses" I advised and he did. By the time he came back the pancakes were hot and ready. I piled two unto each plate. Kyoya got one and so did Lani. They both gladly sat, ready to eat.
"Lani pass the syrup please." asked Kyoya. "Wait." she muttered as she poured it in a swirl on her breakfast with a look of heavy concentration on her face. Finally she stopped, looked at it and was satisfied. She handed it to Kyoya who smiled and ate. After watching them eat for a few more seconds, I left to get changed for my meeting.
Tatori had made it clear that he didn't care what I wore to meetings. He was always in his pijamas. He always walked around like he owned the place [always worked for the doctor]. Basically all meetings were him showing me a general map of important places or history. Sometimes he got people that lived there to tell me about the current setting. I dressed in jeans and a light top. I tucked a pen behind my ear and shoved a notepad in my back pocket. My phone in my front pocket and money in another.
I went back out to where Kyoya and Lani were eating. I picked up Lani and kissed her on the forehead. "Dont get sand in your pants" she warned and stood on her tippy toes so she could reach and put her plate in the sink. I frowned as I turned to Kyoya. He let my move his hair out of his face and stare into his somehow warm gray eyes. I giggled and kissed him on his lips. "Meh" he complained. I rolled my eyes, "Behave you two." I said as I slid out the door. As soon as I was out a guy on a bike rolled past me. He apologized in Portuguese. "Watch it!!" I yelled back. Or did I say, "Dont draw on key chains...."
I shrugged it off and kept going.
~.~ Kyoya's POV ~.~
We sat and stared at each other as the clock ticked. "So what do you want to do?" I asked her. "Nothing until mommy's home." she muttered and rested her chin on the table. I did the same as her, "But dad is." I countered. She squinted her eyes at me and sat up, resting her chin on her hand now. I copied her. Again she squinted her eyes at me and made a fist to rest her chin on. Copy. "Are you copying me daddy?" she giggled. "No. I haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about." I denied. She put her hands on her laps and shook her head with a grin and said while laughing, "yes you are!" I moved my hands to my lap as well, "You're crazy" I muttered.
She glared and pretended to push up imaginary glasses. I pushed up my actual glasses. She flipped her hair dramatically and unfortunately I had to do the same. She went into a laughing fit then struck a pose. I snickered, "No thanks weirdo" I laughed. She licked her tongue out, "I win." she declared.
~.~ Five Days Later , Andrea's POV ~.~
This week had been absolutely horrible. At the meeting I had gotten all the information I could then realized that it really would be extremely time consuming as many parts of Rio simply couldn't be explained or written about using just history and pictures. I couldn't take Kyoya or Lani because traveling with too many people would majorly slow down the process. All this week I had has absolutely no time to be with the two. At the last minute the printer had broken down, destroyed my information and I had to spend hours trying to recover it.
Today was our third to last day at breezy Rio. Tomorrow would be packing, after that, leaving. Now Kyoya and Lani hadn't been in the house the whole time. They had been taking walks and looking around but had held off on seeing the beach until I had time. Now today, our last day, seven in the after noon I was on my way back. It was sweet of them to wait fo-
I got a text message.
-At the beach, show up if you can :)
From Kyoya. I gaped at the message. They had gone without me?!?! I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I was in my shorts and tank top, why not just go now. -_- So I sighed again and turned to the beach. I held my sandals in my hands and walked through the light, cool sand. It was getting dark out and it was making me feel...nostalgic. I searched for the two and found them sitting on the sand, Kyoya talking while Lani happily smiled up at him, taking in every word. I smiled and went over to them.
"Ehem...he guys." I greeted awkwardly. Kyoya turned to me, "There she is!" he laughed. I smiled tiredly and sat next to them. "Hi mommy!" shouted Lailani. I waved and hugged her tightly while Kyoya hugged me. "Guys I'm so sorry. I held you guys up from the fin you could have, had and..i feel like a complete jerk" I muttered. Kyoya sighed and shook his head, "If you would shut up and look at the sun set" he kissed me the forehead, "Then you'd see, you didn't ruin anything." I smiled thankfuly and then looked at the setting sun as the tide came in and tickled our toes. The cool air ran through my hair and relaxed me. I took out my phone and took a pic of all three of us and sent it to the guys.
