Mini Story

"Tatori if you're calling about the brochure I emailed it yesterday" I spoke into the phone. "Yeah yeah but that's not why I'm calling" he sighed. I looked over to Kyoya helping Lani out with a puzzle. "Then why are you calling?" I asked. "Well you see...Its Lani's birthday today..." he informed quietly. My eyes went wide, "What???" I could almost see Tatori smirking and nodding, "Yeah. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." he apologized.

I sighed and said, "Gosh, okay. Thanks" then hung up. I put the phone away and went to the ground were Kyoya was on his stomach and reaching for a puzzle piece in Lani's hair. "Kyoya you'll never believe this," I whispered in his ear. "What. Do I have a piece on my hair?" he asked frowning. I laughed and shook my head, "Its Lani's birthday." I told him, trying to keep Lani from hearing.

No such luck, "I know it is!!" she shouted with a grin. I face palmed then sat up, "I was going to celebrate on your gotcha day wich wasn't until NEXT year." Kyoya sat up and said, "So its the midget's birthday, we'll get her a present and some cake." I bit my lip, "But I wanted it to be a surprise." I complained. "It can be a surprise if I don't know what you're getting me!" Lani smiled at her idea. I thought about it then smiled, "Right then we'll a babysitter." I said. Kyoya raised his eyebrow, "Who." I laughed, "Oh come on. I have six of the most capable baby sitters on my contact list." I was implying the guys. Kyoya ran a hand through his hair, "No, no you have six capable knuckle heads on your contact list." he argued. Lani caught on, "Can you get Uncle Tamaki and Uncles Hikaru and Kaoru!" she exclaimed with a girn

Kyoya and I both faced her and said, "No." She looked sad but she wasn't THAT adorable.

~.~ Minutes Later. ~.~

"Okay, Kaoru dont feed her any junk food. Hikaru, dont let her go outside un-supervised and Tamaki," I turned my attention to him playing with Lani and her laughing uncontrollably, "just keep doing what you're doing." I muttered. The twins saluted, "Yes ma'am." Kyoya came and put his wallet in his pocket. "If I come back and there is so much as a nick on her you two die." he warned and went out to the car. I hugged both of them and whispered, "That goes double for me." I left them holding their throats as i got into the car.

Kyoya let me drive. I put the key in the ignition and he asked, "Are you sure about,this?" I let my eyebrows knit as I pulled out, "Suuure. I know where my tazor is." then sped off.

~.~ Back at the House, Narrate ~.~

Tamaki decided that tickling time was over and put Lani down. "Alright so what do you want to do?" he asked her. She thought then shouted, "Hide and seek!" Tamaki nodded, "Alright who's it?" Then at the same time everyone but Tamaki yelled, "1, 2, 3, NOT IT!" then Lani pointed, "You're it." The twins and her ran off, leaving Tamaki to count. With a sigh, he started, "1, 2, 3.." and to thirty.

"Ready or not here I come!" he announced then got to searching the giant house. He looked under the dining table. Nothing. He checked behind the curtains. Nothing. Then he spotted some movement from the book case. Then a small laugh. "Now I've got you." he whispered with a playful glare in his eyes. But as he pulled open the door he realized he had caught Kaoru, not Lani. Realizing he had been found, Kaoru let out all his laughter and pointed at his phone on wich he was watching a video on.

"The little kitty really thinks it can run out of the bathtub" he laughed and held his stomach. Tamaki sighed and told him, "Pipe down" but then Kaoru handed him the phone and he erupted into laughter as well, "You're right that's so cute!" they both laughed until Tamaki wiped a tear from his eye, "alright lets go find the others."

Finding nothing else downstairs, they moved their search upstairs. The game room was completely silent until one of the pool sticks came tumbling down, bringing five more with it. They winced at the sound and turned to find Hikaru trying to make his escape but instead got buried under the sticks. Tamaki walked over to him and kneeled. He poked him on the head, "Found ya." Hikaru swiped at his hand then got up and fixed his orange hair back in place. "Oww.." he complained.

Now all three of the boys were to look for Lani. "Man she's good." noted Hikaru. And at the exact moment he said that there was a noise of footsteps running. "Hush!" Tamaki shouted. "What you jealous, boss?" asked Kaoru with a taunting smirk. "No I mean seriously, hush I heard something." he whispered. They all listened up to hear the adorable giggle that could only belong to one little girl then fast footsteps running down the stairs.

"Down stairs, men!" he commanded. They all nodded and ran down. Once downstairs Kaoru shouted from one living room, "Can't find her boss!" Hikaru agreed from the second, "Yeah. No sign of her here!" Tamaki thought then announced, "Guard the stairs.". They all gathered in front of the stairs and waited...and waited.

~.~ An Hour later, Andrea's POV~.~

We came in and found the house to be quiet...too quiet. When I told Kyoya this he nodded and kept walking to the living room. He smiled, "Hey come look at this." he muttered. I put down the wrapped and ready to go presents and looked into the living room. There were the group of baby sitters, sleeping at the foot of the stairs, their faces covered in makeup. Macy came up behind me with Naoki (her boyfriend) and marveled at Lani as she came into view and put her finger on her lips. I nodded. Kyoya put the cake down and took a picture with his phone. I hugged Lani who pointed proudly. I chuckled quietly and bent down to kiss her,on the forehead.

"Happy Birthday, baby." I smiled.
